Once Upon a Time Exclusive: A Teen Wolf Bites Into the Role of [Spoiler]-TVLine

According to TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich, Sinqua Walls has been cast as Sir Lancelot, and Walls will appear in at least two episodes in season 2 of Once Upon a Time. Here's an excerpt from the article, which gives some details on Walls' role and mentions some of Sinqua Walls' other TV credits:

I’m hearing that Once Upon a Time will introduce Lancelot as a “sword for hire with nothing to lose,” a onetime proud member of King Arthur’s Round Table who has since been banished, tearing him away from his true love (Queen Guinevere, as lore tells us).

Already for Season 2 (premiere date TBA), Once has cast the roles of Sleeping Beauty and Mulan, and promoted Emilie de Ravin (aka “Belle”) and Meghan Ory (Ruby/Red Riding Hood) to series regular status.

Though unconfirmed by ABC, sources tell me Walls will appear in at least two episodes as Lancelot. The actor’s other TV credits include Friday Night Lights (playing Jamarcus Hall), The Secret Life of the American Teenager and Pair of Kings.

My thoughts: Honestly, this casting news doesn't excite me at all. The character sounds pretty boring, and reading about all of the casting news for season 2 that's been announced so far makes me think that the writers are going to continue to focus on the same small group of characters: Emma, Mary Margaret/Snow White, David/Prince Charming, Regina/The Evil Queen, Mr. Gold/Rumplestiltskin and Henry while they continue to neglect most of the other characters on the show. Don't get me wrong, I love all of those characters, I just want to see the other characters on the shows be developed some more as well. I think the writers should stop adding new characters for season 2 and just focus on the characters that are already on the show.
