I am curious why the Mentalist writers decides to kill Rigsby´s dad. Is it possible that Van Pelt could be there for Rigsby? –Laura 
I like your train of thought, making lemonade from lemons and all. And yet… I’m hearing that is not in the cards as of now. But you can expect Van Pelt’s story to likely pick up in some shape or form after Amanda Righetti has her real-life baby this winter.
