Jaime Pressly Avoids Jail Time in DUI Case - Today's News: Our Take | TVGuide

Jaime Pressly pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor DUI stemming from her January arrest in Santa Monica, Calif., according to E! Online.

Pressly previously pleaded not guilty to DUI

Pressly struck a deal Thursday with prosecutors that will allow her to avoid jail time. Instead, she'll serve three years' probation, complete a six-month alcohol program and pay $390 in fees plus penalties.

In exchange, prosecutors dropped another count of driving under the influence.

Conflicting results of blood alcohol-tests performed by the police and the My Name Is Earl alum's defense team also contributed to lessened penalties. The 34-year-old actress, who stars in Fox's upcoming sitcom I Hate My Teenage Daughter, faced six months in jail if convicted.
