It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia: Oh, my god! This is the worst episode ever! (My thoughts on episode 7x05 Frank’s Brother)

I have to say that I think this episode was the worst episode ever of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. I’ve seen every episode of the show, and this was the first episode ever that didn’t make me laugh once while I was watching it. Usually I’m practically dying of laughter whenever I’m watching an episode of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia.

The biggest flaw of this episode in my opinion was the fact that Dee, Charlie, Mac and Dennis were hardly in this episode except for when they would interrupt Frank and his brother, Gino, while they were telling the story of how they both fell in love with Shadynasty to comment on the story. I like the character Frank a lot, but it feels like they’ve had quite a few Frank-centric episodes so far this season with “Frank’s Pretty Woman” and “Frank Reynolds’ Little Beauties”, but those episodes featured the rest of The Gang quite a bit and I absolutely loved those episodes. However, when it comes to the amount of screen time that each cast member had in this episode, it was almost entirely Frank and his brother, Gino, who we’ve never even heard of until this episode, so it was really hard for me to get invested in the plot of this episode.

There were a few things that I liked about this episode though. For starters, I did think it was kind of funny in a weird way that Danny DeVito was playing Frank as a teenager in the flashbacks. That was kind of amusing. Also, I love how people got confused about how to pronounce the name Shadynasty when Frank and Gino opened up the club and thought that it should be pronounced Shady Nasty.

The best parts of the episode for me were when Dee, Charlie, Mac and Dennis would interrupt Frank and Gino to comment on their story, and the other good part of the episode was the end of the episode when Frank sees Shadynasty for the first time in years. I thought that Shadynasty’s husband was funny when airport security came and took him away. The funniest part of that whole scene was definitely after Shadynasty and her husband had left and Frank admitted that Shadynasty wasn’t as good looking as he thought she would be, and Dee, Charlie, Mac, Dennis and Gino all agreed with him. I thought that was hilarious, but it still wasn’t funny enough to make me laugh.

All in all, I really did hate this episode for the most part due to the fact that it was pretty much all about Frank and Gino. That being said, I give this episode a rating of a D-.
