According to TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich, FX has renewed Archer for a fourth season. Here's an excerpt from the article with a statement from Nick Grad, the president of the FX network as well as some information regarding the show's long-term future:
“It was an easy decision,” FX EVP Nick Grad said of the pick-up. “[Archer executive producers Adam Reed and Matt Thompson] and our amazing voice cast are delivering one of the funniest and smartest shows on television. It has deservedly grown beyond its initial cult following to become both a critical and ratings success. It is a true asset to the FX comedy roster.”
In fact, it was also announced that FX Productions has inked a two-year overall production deal with Reed and Thompson, retaining the duo for any additional seasons of Archer and any new projects they develop. The deal also has Reed and Thompson’s animation studio, Floyd County Productions, continuing as the animators on Archer and FX’s Unsupervised, as well as tackling any new animated fare produced by FX Productions or developed by FX.
