When asked if he's been surprised by the rather intense fan reaction to that pairing, Kelley answers, "I just adore Gabriel and it humanizes Emily in a way giving her a fraternal relationship. I'm not surprised because I know these actors and I love that people are responding to that in a good way."

My thoughts: I have to say that I'm really disappointed that Mike Kelley is against the idea of Nolan and Emily having a romantic relationship. While I didn't necessarily want Nolan and Emily to have a romantic relationship, I was hoping that they would at least have a sexual fling at some point in the future.
