He's headed for a really sweet romance with Amber, but that doesn't mean things get easier for him. In an upcoming episode, Ryan learns that one of his friends has committed suicide. At the funeral, Ryan will get into a physical fight with another former comrade in arms who believes suicide is a cowardly act.
