Ausiello: It appears the show is looking to add a new, possibly permanent notch to Danny’s rotating partner belt in the wake of Jennifer Esposito’s controversial exit. Producers are casting the role of Bax, a whip-smart, thirtysomething, female detective who gets assigned to work alongside Danny.  Well aware of her new partner’s mercurial reputation, Bax is ideally equipped to handle his temperament (i.e.: she’s a better investigator than he is).
