If it’s going to happen, it’s slow going. As of episode four, the duo hasn’t shared any weighty scenes yet, according to Kevin McKidd. “The feeling is that Owen needs time to heal,” McKidd tells me. “The Owen and Cristina fans need time for Owen to be on his own.” However, McKidd believes an Amelia-Owen pairing could provide a lot of comedy “with the tension between Owen and Derek.”
