My thoughts: I've only seen the first episode of Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce at this point in time, but I really enjoyed it, so I'm really happy to hear that Bravo has renewed the show for a second season. I have watched parts of other episodes though. The only reason why I didn't continue watching it was because the ratings for the series premiere didn't look very good, so I figured that the show was destined to be canceled. Now that Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce has been renewed for a second season, I'm definitely going to get caught up on watching the show. Admittedly, I don't think it's what I would call "Must see TV". Based on the first episode and the parts of other episodes that I have seen at this point in time, I think it's more of a guilty pleasure TV show.
Honestly, I think it's totally okay if Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce is nothing more than a guilty pleasure TV show. I don't need every TV show I watch to be Emmy worthy in order for me to be able to enjoy it. When it comes to the TV shows I watch, all I care about is that I find them entertaining, and I definitely thought that the first episode of Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce was entertaining enough for me to want to continue watching the show. Hopefully, the producers of Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce will be able to work out all of the show's kinks and season two will be better than what I've seen of the show at this point in time. Regardless of the show's flaws, I'm just happy having Lisa Edelstein back on TV again, because I always loved her on House.
