His character Jimmy Borelli doesn’t make a great first impression. Late for his very first shift, a duct-taped and toilet paper-wrapped Jimmy is dumped at 51 by his older brother, a fellow firefighter from a different house. “He’s summarily told to hit [the road] by Boden,” EP Matt Olmstead teases. “He has to work his way back to the good graces of Boden to try and get back in 51.” But Casey sees more to this candidate with a complicated history and “realizes this guy could be a really great firefighter.”
