Now that Mike is not getting traded, the winter finale will provide answers about the state of their relationship. “We’ve been telling the story throughout the season of this young woman coming of age in the most unnatural circumstances,” EP Dan Fogelman says. “In the final episode, she starts finally taking ownership and finding her voice. It’s the moment where she starts really, really coming of age in full.”
