I haven’t laid eyes on Prison Break yet, but 24: Legacy is sufficiently reminiscent of Jack Bauer’s earlier bad days. In the style of SNL‘s Stefon, it’s got everything: A hero with almost no one he can trust. A sought-after McGuffin. Nosy CTU computer wonks. Ambitious politicians. Important people getting sneaked up on and tasered. I would certainly give it a look.

It’s not that he ruled out using her (or other past characters) at all, he simply shared that a Kate-centric revival was among the pondered, but ultimately passed on, possibilities. “We’ve been thinking about this forever, even before [Live Another Day]: Is there a new series [to be launched]? Is 24 Jack Bauer? For the longest time it was, until after Live Another Day we all felt his story really has been told.” For the reboot/revival, “Kate was [considered as the focus], but we took a lot of runs at this until we found the right configuration,” he said. “We’re not just doing this as a callow exercise in bringing an old title back.” That said, Jack, Kate et al remain “in the 24-verse” and “of course” may get shout-outs, Gordon allows. “Everybody’s fair game!”

Ausiello: All signs point to more 24, but probably not until the 2015-16 season at the earliest. Everyone connected with the stellar Live Another Day — namely, Kiefer Sutherland and his fellow EPs — are taking a little breather.

What are the chances we will see another season of 24? —Ron
I for a moment feared they were nonexistent, after hearing third-hand about some interview where Kiefer Sutherland allegedly said he’s getting too old for this… stuff. But once I found his actual quotes, I see that he never went nearly that far. EP Manny Coto, meanwhile, said in a Reddit AMA this week, “As of now, there are no plans to continue the show next year but we remain open to the possibility. We had a great time doing it this year and would love to take another crack at it.” So, I’d say the chances are better than 50-50.

While it seems Chloe picked a side, don't be surprised if Adrian's nefarious dealings with CIA Chief Navarro end up changing Chloe's mind. In other words, she's totally going to go back to Jack, right? "Adrian and Chloe have a bond, and that bond is now going to be tested," executive producerManny Coto teases. "Chloe's going to come to a position where she must choose between her loyalty to Adrian and her loyalty to Jack. What side she comes out on will be part of the fun of the episode." Yeah, totally Jack.

It's safe to assume that Jack's role in Heller's death will mean major drama between Jack and Heller's daughter Audrey. But even though you'd think Audrey could never forgive Jack's betrayal, there may be a glimmer of hope (especially since Audrey's husband also played along with Heller's death wish.) "Jack's question when this is all over is, 'Can he go back with Audrey? Is there a chance for the two of them?'"executive producer Evan Katz says. "In Episode 5, it was pretty clear that the two of them still love each other."
