iZombie: Major and Gilda related scoop and more from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on iZombie from this week's (Posted on 10/22/15) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Any scoop on iZombie? —Steven
Ausiello: That surprise hook-up between Major and Gilda? Not a one-time thing, exec-producer Diane Ruggiero-Wright reveals. “Major’s doing some grudge-f—ing,” the EP declares. So will Liv find out about her ex’s new extracurricular activities? “People always find out something,” she hints. “Even if they don’t find out the whole story, you can’t get away with anything. They’ll be, ‘You did something with somebody. I don’t know quite what you did, but you did something wrong.'” BONUS iSPOILER: Turns out the Peyton/Ravi heart-to-heart in last Tuesday’s episode was supposed to be a goodbye. “That scene was written as an end — that was it,” Ravi’s portrayer, Rahul Kohli, reveals. “It was supposed to be them saying, ‘Good to see you. All the best.’ And that hug was supposed to be a platonic hug. But Aly [Michalka] and I did our scene together and we really had fun with it. And then we get an email from [exec producer] Rob [Thomas] a couple days later and he’s like, ‘Awww, I want more.'”

iZombie: Scoop on Aly Michalka's future on the show in season 2 from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

Here's some scoop on iZombie from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat column, which was posted on 6/16/15.

Lily: Are we going to see more of Peyton next season on iZombie?
You missed her in the finale, too? "We adore Aly [Michalka] and we think the show is better when she's in it. We'd love to have more of her," executive producer Rob Thomas says. "But our episodes do fill quickly, with our case-of-the-week story and our zombie mythology stuff, and we knew we were going to lose her to do a pilot this year, so we had to write her in a way that, if her pilot had gone and she was unavailable this year that it made sense. But her pilot did not go, so she is available in year two and we have high hopes that she's going to be in the show. Because she's not a series regular, we can't control her schedule. We can hope that when we write these episodes for her, that she can and will do them."

iZombie: Scoop on Aly Michalka's future on the show in season 2 from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich

Here's some scoop on iZombie from this week's (Posted on 6/11/15) Matt's Inside Line column.

Will Peyton be back for iZombie Season 2? –CJ
In a word, possibly. Explaining the absence of recurring player Aly Michalka from the finale, show boss Rob Thomas told Vlada Gelman, “There were a certain number of episodes we could use her for, and we had used up our allotment, plus she was doing a pilot (ABC’s Chevy). And if that pilot [is picked up], you might not get her back, so we had to write her in a way that if she didn’t come back, that we’d at least have a reason.” Since Chevy didn’t make the cut at ABC, “She is available to us again, and we hope to see more of her,” Thomas said.
