Covert Affairs: Guest-star related scoop on the season 5 finale (Episode 5x16 "Gold Soundz") from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

AMERICA FERRERA, ANA ORTIZ, CHRISTOPHER GORHAM

Here's some scoop on Covert Affairs from this week's (Posted on 11/18/14) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Any news for Covert Affairs? —Melissa
Ausiello: Ugly Betty reunion alert! Ana Ortiz, who has been racking up some serious guest-star credits during her Devious Maids hiatus, will next turn up in the Season 5 finale of Covert Affairs (which stars her onetime Ugly Betty colleague Chris Gorham). She’ll play Karen Coughlin, a political advisor known on the Hill as “the wolf in chic clothing.” Karen approaches a seasoned Beltway insider with the opportunity to enter into the political arena.

Devious Maids: Marisol related scoop on season 2 from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Devious Maids from this week's (Posted on 4/15/14) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: How about some dirt on Season 2 of Devious Maids? Now that Marisol has revealed that she’s not actually a maid, what sort of connection will she maintain with the rest of her new friends? — Sean
Ausiello: Fear not, Sean! Marisol will remain close to her former crew, and given the latest developments in her life, she might find herself leaning on them for support more than ever. “Marisol has a whole new life this season,” explains executive producer Sabrina Wind. “She has found true love for the first time, but with that comes dark stories of its own … and a great new haircut, though [Ana Ortiz] did that herself.”

Revenge: Scoop on who shot Emily, Aiden and Victoria's partnership and more from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Revenge from this week's (Posted on 10/1/13) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Do you know who shot Emily on Revenge? You do, don’t you? —Janet
Ausiello: I don’t! In fact, no one knows. According to Emily VanCamp, the writers “are still on the fence about” who ultimately pulls the trigger. And someone does pull the trigger. The show’s leading lady insists the show isn’t pulling a fast one in that flash-forward (i.e. it’s a dream, the shooting is staged or something else lame like that.) “From what I know, she is really going to get shot and fall off that boat,” she maintains. “Who knows what happens after that? I’ll have to wait until Episode 10 to read it.” (Email me a digital file when you’re done, K? You kinda still owe me for this. Didn’t want to have to play that card but you forced my hand, Ems.)

Question: Revenge isn’t going to take Aiden and Victoria’s partnership in a romantic direction, right? —Kelly
Ausiello: Although exec producer Sunil Nayar concedes that “there are definitely sparks” between Barry Sloane and Madeline Stowe, “That’s not exactly the road we’re taking them down.” When we pick up this Sunday, Victoria remains skeptical about Aiden’s motives. “She really wants him to prove his fidelity,” Nayar explains, “because what a great ally he would be. They’re both trying to feel each other out. It’s fun to watch two people start to dance when neither one knows who’s leading and neither one trusts their partner.” Bonus Scoop: Ana Ortiz’ one-off guest stint has officially been upgraded to a multi-episode arc. Ugly Betty alums, FTW!

Devious Maids: Scoop on the season 1 finale from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

Here's some scoop on Devious Maids from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat column, which was posted on 8/7/13.

Lorena: I'm all about Devious Maids, so any spoilers would be mucho appreciated.
Don't think for a second that Devious Maids will pull a Killing season one and not wrap up big storylines in the finale. Roslyn Sanchez and Ana Ortiz tell us that we will find out who killed Flora, and everything will be resolved by the end of the season. The reveal of Flora's murder will be the big arc in the finale, and then, hopefully, plotlines will be set up for a second season. ABC has yet to renew it, but the buzz is strong enough that a season two might be in the cards.
