Ausiello: I can confirm it’s not a flashback. I can’t confirm how the episode was shot (i.e. body doubles, CGI, etc).

Question: Anything new and scoopy on The Good Wife? —Brandon
Ausiello: This is new, scoopy and curious: I hear CBS has quietly extended the contracts of the primary cast — that includes Julianna Margulies, Christine Baranski and Matt Czuchry — for two more seasons beyond the current sixth. That’s interesting coming off of Good Wife cocreator Robert King’s comments in last week’s Ask Ausiello, in which he hinted that even though he always envisioned the show ending after seven seasons, the decision, ultimately, rests with CBS. An insider, however, cautions not to read too much into the two-year thing, calling it “typical TV dealmaking.”

Question: Do you have any scoop to offer on Kalinda’s exit from The Good Wife? — ABZ
Ausiello: I heard she was getting killed off. Then I heard she was going to jail. Then I heard she was entering witness protection. Then I heard none of those things are true. Then I heard the killed-off rumor again. Then I saw the below photo Archie Panjabi tweeted Tuesday while on a break from shooting the season finale, and I thought to myself: “Self, that’s not the face of someone who’s about to shoot a death scene.” Does that answer your question, ABZ?

Anything on Kalinda’s departure on The Good Wife? –Ricardo?
Only that before Archie Panjabi’s character exits stage left, one very loose, dangling thread will be dealt with — the fact that Cary was freed from the clink on evidence forged by his lover. “Certainly, that was a big moment, and it’s going to come back around,” affirms Matt Czuchry, who adds that it’s an especially “complicated thing” seeing as Kalinda didn’t intended for the fudged email to be submitted as evidence. What’s more, if it the hack does get exposed, it’d have significant implications for, at the very least, both her and him. “Oftentimes what happens with a character leaving the show is it’s a ripple effect for all the characters,” Czuchry says, “so that could happen here.”

Her swan song continues on The Good Wife. And those theories (yes, we have them too) about her exit? Robert and Michelle King aren't reading them. "We didn't want to be that influenced by. We had a goal at the beginning of the year and we're at least sticking with that goal," Robert King tells us. "I have a feeling some will be right."

The Good Wife | Not to give everyone one of you reading this a big head, but you are to credit for Kalinda’s husband Nick being nipped in the bud. As Archie Panjabi shared at the Golden Globes, “To get the reaction that [the storyline] got and to see the passion from so many journalists and the fans was just astounding. And because of that, they changed things. You realize how powerful the press, the public are.” The lack of love for Nick also touched Panjabi as an actress. “I actually feel honored to think that many people care about Kalinda and are so protective of her — three years in!”
