Question: The Legion ring was shown in the fortress in Kevin Smith’s Supergirl episode. When will see it used in action? —Jen
Ausiello: When we delivered your Q to Supergirl star Melissa Benoist, she answered, “The Legion Ring, I believe, is on its way — but I don’t know exactly when.”

Question: Is it safe to assume that Cat Grant is back full time for Season 3 of Supergirl? She looked pretty cozy in her old office. —Kellen
Ausiello: It is not safe to assume that. Despite the fact that Flockhart was listed among the series regulars in Supergirl‘s official Season 3 press release, I’m told she will not rejoin the full-time ranks. But if the scheduling can be worked out, you can count on her putting in a handful of guest appearances, as she did in Season 2. BONUS SCOOP: Casting for Season 3 villain Reign is underway and rumor has it the Big Bad will have a major presence in Season 3 (i.e. appearing in possibly a dozen episodes).

What’s the scoop on Cat Grant and Superman’s return on Supergirl? — Rosie
Both will play pivotal roles heading into the final two episodes. “I don’t want to tease too much about how they return because both Superman’s return and Cat’s return are great surprises; how it happens, you’ll be shocked at both of their appearances,” EP Andrew Kreisberg says. “This is Kara’s darkest hour. It’s perfect that she has both Superman and Cat, who are these great stabilizing influences in her life — Cat, who tends to have a good handle on what Kara needs, and Clark has a pretty good handle on what Supergirl needs. She needs them both desperately because she’s faced with some truly awful decisions to make in the finale and choices that affect her both as Kara and as Supergirl. Having her surrogate mother and surrogate brother there to make these decisions, it’s good to have them there.”

Supergirl: Scoop on Teri Hatcher's role, the possibility of Calista Flockhart appearing on the show and more from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Supergirl from this week's (Posted on 2/28/17) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: I’m so excited to see Teri Hatcher on Supergirl! How much longer do I have to wait? –Camille
Ausiello: Not much longer, Camille! According to executive producer Andrew Kreisberg, Hatcher’s character — which remains shrouded in mystery — pops up in Episode 15. As for whether or not you can expect to see her sharing the screen with former Lois & Clark co-star Dean Cain, Kreisberg says that everyone involved wants it to happen, adding “there’s a plan” in the works.

Question: Any word yet on if/when Calista Flockhart might be reprising her role as Cat Grant on Supergirl? —Avery
Ausiello: I wouldn’t put money on seeing Cat again this season. But if you do, keep the wager under $1.

Question: Anything you can tease about Iris’ role in the Supergirl/The Flash musical crossover? —Fowsia
Ausiello: “She plays a pretty key role in the musical episode (airing Tuesday, March 21). The story really centers around Iris,” co-showrunner Aaron Helbing tells Matt Mitovich. He then reiterated, “Aside from Barry and Kara, Iris plays a huge role in the musical.”

Supergirl: Scoop on the possibility of Calista Flockart returning to the show in season 2 from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Supergirl from this week's (Posted on 12/20/16) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Any news on if and when Cat Grant will make a return on this season of Supergirl? The show is doing great, but Calista Flockart is greatly missed! —Selene
Ausiello: As I mentioned in the latest #AskAusielloLive, Flockart is not currently confirmed to appear in any additional Season 2 episodes, but there’s talk of a short-term comeback in the spring.

Here's some scoop on Supergirl from this week's (Posted on 5/23/16) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Is there any hope for Supergirl’s Kara and Winn/#Karwin shippers? —Tony
Ausiello: Jeremy Jordan, who plays Winn, was glad to see the CBS-turned-CW series dial down his character’s puppy-dog pining — “I don’t know if we need to see it in every episode, like we did at the beginning of the season” — but says, “I  certainly think that it’s not over.” Nor will “losing the girl” get any easier. “I think it’s going to be little difficult for him to him to see basically his two best friends together,” Jordan says of the Kara/James coupling. After all, “He and James are super-close now, and they all work at the same place!”

Question: Any scoop about Supergirl Season 2? And when I say “any scoop” I mean: Will we lose Cat Grant now that show is moving to Vancouver? —Bruna
Ausiello: You may lose her for an episode or two (or three… since there’s no way Calista Flockart will be moving to Canada full-time), but I highly doubt you’ll lose her completely. CW prez Mark Pedowitz confirmed that Flockhart “wants to continue with the show.” Now all sides just need to figure out the scheduling.
