Here's some scoop on The Good Wife from Entertainment Weekly's Natalie Abrams' The Spoiler Room column, which was posted on 2/20/15.

What can you tell us about Dylan Baker’s return to The Good Wife? — John
Dylan Baker’s return will be approximately two times better than any other time he’s been on the show … because he literally plays two characters. When Cary and Diane go to court to file a defamation suit against a television show that depicted Colin Sweeney as a murderer, Baker gets to reprise his role as both Sweeney and the hip actor who plays him on TV. Let’s just say that Sweeney’s time in court does not go as planned, and yes, he turns to Alicia for help.

The acclaimed CBS drama returns March 1, with – not surprisingly – a highly entertaining episode in which:
1) Lemond Bishop finally calls in that favor from Kalinda (and while it’s nothing you might predict, it portends to have lasting repercussions)
2) Dylan Baker gets to play a dual role, to very amusing effect, while Laura Benanti returns as the cunning Colin Sweeney’s current, delicious catch
3) Kindly Ed Asner guest-stars as a PAC contributor who’s full of surprises, ultimately leading Alicia and Frank Prady to mull ending their congenial “back channel” arrangement, and
4) You even somehow get a Toby Ziegler mention!

Good Wife Exclusive: Dylan Baker Makes Killer Comeback-TVLine

The Good Wife has some unfinished business with Dylan Baker’s convicted killer Colin Sweeney.

The actor — who appeared during Season 1 as major client of Lockhart Gardner with whom Alicia (Julianna Margulies) successfully defended for the murder of his wife (but who later went to jail for another murder) — is returning to the CBS drama this fall, TVLine has learned exclusively.

Details on his comeback are scarce, but rumor has it Sweeney gets sprung from the pokey when Alicia needs his help with a case.

Baker’s initial Good Wife arc earned him a 2010 Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series. His encore is slated to air in October.
