Ausiello: Although Season 3 won’t hit your screen until 2014, remember, scoopage is starting to circulate. For one, it appears that Matt LeBlanc — sorry, “Matt LeBlanc” — will have a bit of a PR crisis to deal with when a false rumor makes rounds that he’s entering rehab. It also looks like, with Pucks! on hiatus, “Matt” will take a stab at drama (which scares us more than a bit). But perhaps most interestingly, a Tonight Show appearance figures into one of Season 3′s first episodes, raising the question: Depending on when exactly Episodes returns, will the show need to shoot those scenes two ways, using different Jay/Jimmy host scenarios?

Ausiello: Flattery gets you everywhere. Episodes will return on Showtime in early 2014, and here’s a little scoop from series co-creator Jeffrey Klarik: Since John Pankow’s Merc was fired last season, there’s a new head of the network. “He’s a piece of work,” Klarik says, before adding, “He is bipolar.”

Episodes: Renewed for a Third Season-TVLine

According to TVLine's Kimberly Roots, Showtime has renewed for a nine-episode third season. Production for season three will begin next year and will take place in Los Angeles and London. Here's an excerpt from the article:

LeBlanc won a Golden Globe this year for his portrayal of a heightened (read: obnoxious) version of himself on the series, co-produced by Showtime and the BBC.

About 486,000 total viewers tuned in to Episodes‘ Season 2 premiere, down 37 percent from its January 2011 debut. According to the network, the series — which co-stars Stephen Mangan, Tamsin Greig, John Pankow and Mircea Monroe — attracts 1.66 million weekly viewers.

My thoughts: I for one am thrilled that Episodes has been renewed for a third season. I'll admit that it took me a while to really get into the show. I didn't really get into Episodes until the fifth or six episode of the first season, but I've really grown to love the show since then. Personally, I think Episodes is a very underrated show, and I would definitely recommend this show to anyone who hasn't seen the show before.

And while we can't say exactly who this frisky lady is, we can say that Matt has a thing for getting in the middle of those so-called "committed relationships." Ruh-roh!

Episodes: Censored Version of the Full Season 2 Premiere

Showtime has released the following edited version of the season 2 premiere of Episodes. The season 2 premiere airs on July 1st. I haven't watched the season 2 premiere yet, but I can't wait to see it. It seems like it's been an eternity since season 1 ended. It took me a while to get into Episodes, but toward the end of the season the show got really good, if you ask me.
