Glee: Scoop on the Cory Monteith/Finn tribute episode (Episode 5x03 "The Quarterback") from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

Here's some scoop on Glee from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat column, which was posted on 10/9/13.

Julianna: I'm not ready to face this new episode of Glee. Any advice for a sad gleek?
We will never be fully prepared to say goodbye to Finn either, but Ryan Murphy recently shared with us some really sweet advice on how to get through Cory Monteith's tribute episode together. "For people who are fans of the show, and him particularly, I think it would be great if they watched it with other fans because it has that sort of family feel to it," Murphy explained. You hear that Glee fans? Grab your loved ones and a box of tissues before tuning into Thursday's all-new episode, "The Quarterback."

Glee: Scoop on the Cory Monteith/Finn tribute episode (Episode 5x03 "The Quarterback") from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Glee from this week's (Posted on 10/8/13) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Do you know if Glee‘s Finn tribute will feature any old (or “lost”) footage of him? —Devon
Ausiello: There was talk early on of doing a clip montage over one of the songs but I think the idea was abandoned. And I’m kind of relieved; the episode is going to be hard enough to get through without having to watch archival footage of Finn/Cory. Speaking of Thursday’s emotional hour, you may be surprised by which character the episode ends on.

Glee: Scoop on the Cory Monteith tribute episode in season 5 from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

Here's some scoop on Glee from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat column, which was posted on 9/12/13.

Aimee H.: Can't wait to see how Glee honors Cory Monteith. Have you talked to any more castmembers about it?
As a matter of fact, we just chatted with Dot Marie Jones about the episode (her first appearance in the new season), that will pay tribute to Cory and his character Finn. And just like all the other Glee actors we've talked to, Jones said it was a struggle to get through it. "First of all, it took me two days to read [the script] because I couldn't stop crying, from personal stuff and from the stuff that was written," she tells us. "It's one of the most beautifully written scripts I've ever read. Ryan Murphy and Brad [Falchuk] and Ian [Brennan] have written something that is just unbelievable." When asked how she thinks the fans will react to the episode, Jones promises that everyone will love the tribute. "There's no way they can't," she says.

Glee: Scoop on the tribute to Cory Monteith/Finn in season 5 from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Glee from this week's (Posted on 9/3/13) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Any new details on Glee‘s Finn tribute? Maybe something about song selection? —Jen
Ausiello: Although I don’t have any confirmation of this, rumor has it an iconic track from Glee‘s Season 1 setlist will be revived for the Oct. 10 farewell. Additionally, I hear Santana is featured somewhat prominently in the special episode, the script of which is garnering rave reviews.

Glee: Scoop on the season 5 premiere (Episode 5x01 "Love Love Love") and casting related scoop on season 5 from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

Here's some scoop on Glee from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat column, which was posted on 8/29/13.

Kate: Keep the Glee spoilers rolling! I need them to survive until the premiere!
A source revealed to us that two of the Beatles songs in the season-five opener are "I Saw Her Standing There" and "Yesterday." Speculate away on who will be singing what and to whom. Also, Glee is currently looking for a new high school star that will be a major recurring role. As always, this new man will be an excellent singer and dancer and most likely super cute. New glee club member on the way?

Here's some scoop on Glee from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat column, which was posted on 8/23/13.

Christian: Glee scoop would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
So kind and courteous, give your mom a pat on the back for us! Now, onto business: The Fox hit is currently looking for a big and bold actor to take on the fun, fun, fun role of Rodrick Easton, a talented and theatrical man who has a huge ego. Hm...sounds like a Broadway star to us! Fans can expect to see the character throughout the season, so we're guessing someone (coughRachelBerrycough) landed a gig...

Glee: Scoop on how Cory Monteith's death will be handled on the show and scoop on Demi Lovato's role in season 5 from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

Here's some scoop on Glee from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat column, which was posted on 8/21/13.

Yolanda: Loved the Glee story about Kurt and Blaine! You're right, it's nice to see something happy on the set after Cory's tragic death. Do you know what the atmosphere on set has been like? If anyone knows, it's you guys!
Well actually, if anyone knows, it's Jane Lynch. We asked her what it's been like going back to work after losing Cory Monteith so suddenly over the summer, and she got visibly choked up. "It's tough," she tells us, adding that even she doesn't know how they are going to write Finn off the show. "We have to deal with it in the story. I don't know how we're going to do that, but it will soon be revealed." On a lighter note, we were the ones who broke the news to her that Demi Lovato will be joining the cast in season five. Lynch was happy to hear about the addition to the show, gushing that The X Factor judge is "wonderful!" And we're also excited to hear that Demi's character will reportedly be singing "Here Comes the Sun" with Santana.

Glee: Casting related scoop on season 5 from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

Here's some scoop on Glee from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat column, which was posted on 8/16/13.

Dani: So glad Glee isn't having Finn die of a drug overdose. That would be too much. Do you have any other info on season five?
While no one will ever be able to replay Cory Monteith, we have heard that Glee is looking to cast a new male lead, and this character will be a major recurring guest star in the new season. All we know right now is that he'll be handsome, older than the kids at McKinley and in New York, and duh, he can sing. Maybe a new teacher?

Do you know if the first three episodes of Glee before the hiatus are going to air in consecutive weeks? –Sofia
So many scheduling Qs this week! Yes, Fox boss Kevin Reilly today confirmed for me/you that Glee will open its season with three consecutive episodes, break for postseason baseball coverage, and then immediately return thereafter with as many as seven straight episodes.

Glee: More scoop on the first two episodes of season 5 and casting related scoop from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Glee from this week's (Posted on 7/30/13) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: I’m sure you’re getting a ton of these emails, but I’m so heartbroken about Cory Monteith’s passing. Any more info on what the initial Season 5 episodes of Glee will look like? –Ellen
Ausiello: No doubt, Ryan Murphy and the show’s cast and crew have a difficult road ahead, as they navigate their own grief while trying to pay tribute to their fallen colleague — and still produce an entertaining season of television. The Glee writing team had already penned the first two Season 5 installments — built around the music of the Beatles — back in May, which gives everyone a leg up in advance of the Sept. 26 kickoff.  And to that end, the show is casting five roles (to either replace or augment the three parts we told you about earlier this month) for the premiere, only one of which calls for a young actor. (Hrmmm.) The lineup of new characters — the first three of which are recurring — includes: Roderick Easton, a talented, theatrical fortysomething with a big ego; Jim Elliott, a handsome, smart academic in his mid-40s or 50s; Jurgen, another fella in his mid-40s or 50s, who’s either German or Austrian, with a definite accent; an unidentified, not-gender-specific, fortysomething “School Board Member”; and finally, “Nerdy Girl,” age 18 or thereabouts, who’ll likely wind up in the halls of William McKinley High (albeit with only a single line of dialogue). After Beatlemania hits the Glee-verse, expect one more episode — a tribute to fallen Finn — before the show takes its fall hiatus.

Cory Monteith Found Dead at Age 31 | E! Online

http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/wennpic/cory-monteith-19th-annual-screen-actors-guild-awards-01.jpg

According to E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos, Cory Montieth who's most famous for playing the role of Finn Hudson on Glee was found dead at age 31 just after noon on Saturday. Here's an excerpt from the article, which gives some more details on this developing story:

The 31-year-old was staying at the Fairmont Hotel and missed his check out time, according to Vancouver Police. Just after noon today he was found dead and alone.

According to Deputy Chief Doug LaPard, there are no indications of foul play and they are not discussing what was found in the room.

Monteith checked in July 6 and he was not staying with girlfriend/Glee co-star Lea Michele.

Monteith's family has been informed, according to LaPard, and when the actor was found he had been deceased for several hours.

Vancouver PD reports that a video showed Monteith returning to his hotel room by himself in early morning hours. There is no cause of death yet.

LaPard explained at a press conference tonight that Monteith's family was just informed of his death about an hour ago, so although they wanted to get a statement out right away to confirm his passing, they do not want to give any further details at this time, out of respect for the family.

My thoughts: There aren't enough words in the English language for me to adequately describe just how devastated I am by the news of Cory Monteith's death. I haven't watched Glee since season two ended, but he was always one of my top favorite characters on the show, and Finn and Rachel were always my favorite pairing on the show. I always think it's devastating whenever I hear about somebody who has died and was fairly young at the time of their death, and this is no exception. I feel so bad for all of his friends and family as they will have to mourn Cory's death. Glee will never be quite the same without Cory Monteith.

Here's some scoop on Glee from this week's (Posted on 5/28/13) Ask Ausiello column.

Glee: Jake and Marley related scoop and more on the season 4 finale from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Glee from this week's (Posted on 5/7/13) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: I heard a rumor that someone might be leaving Glee in the season finale? True? —Nils
Ausiello: Thursday’s finale definitely leaves you with the impression that a pivotal, longtime character will not be back next season — at least not full-time. That said, I have received no confirmation that the actor/actress in question is, in fact, departing the show. Speaking of the finale, rumor has it somebody’s getting *a****d!

Question: Last chance for Glee finale scoop — whaddaya got? —Tammy
Ausiello: A mystery wrapped in an enigma topped with some cryptic sauce. Jacob Artist says he’s not sure if Jake and Marley end up in a happy place because things “might’ve changed a little bit from the original script that we all read.” And that change — which Artist describes as more of an “editing” choice — could ultimately impact several relationships on the show, “Jake and Marley included.” What does it all mean?!

Glee Renewed Season 5 and 6

According to TVLine's Michael Ausiello, Fox has renewed Glee for a fifth and sixth season. Here's an excerpt from the article:

In a statement accompanying the announcement, Fox president Kevin Reilly credited exec producers Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan, Dante DiLoreto “and the entire Glee team” for delivering “a series that not only delights and surprises fans, but also inspires them to talk about, share, debate and engage with the show… I’m absolutely thrilled to have them on board for another two seasons.”
