Sons of Anarchy: Nero related scoop on the season 6 finale (Episode 6x13 "A Mother's Work") from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

Here's some scoop on Sons of Anarchy from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat column, which was posted on 12/9/13.

Danny: Nero is my favorite character, so I'm nervous about him heading into Sons of Anarchy's finale!
We think Nero will make it out alive, if only because his feelings for Gemma could stop him from doing something against Jax. "What has developed over these past two seasons between these two characters they've really developed a—you've watched them kind of do this awkward different kind of courtship that's happened.  I mean they're saying I love you to each other now, and who would have thought that would have come out of Gemma's mouth," Jimmy Smits says. "Not just to her son and stuff, but to another relationship guy.  So it's very interesting.  We'll see how that all plays out.  There's a definite pull there."

Sons of Anarchy: Jax and Nero related scoop from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

Here's some scoop on Sons of Anarchy from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat column, which was posted on 12/4/13.

Isaac: Can't believe Juice came clean last night! What's next for Nero and Jax on Sons of Anarchy?!
That embrace at the end of last night's episode was a complicated one, no? "He's definitely torn right there," Jimmy Smits says of Nero's mind-set in that moment. "This whole aspect that Kurt [Sutter] deals with in terms of what betrayal is when you've formed a familial relationship, the whole thing about betrayal and family and what that means, is a deep cord…You know, shit that you do comes back to bite you. Everybody's left off-kilter and everyone's going to exact their own revenge. We'll see what happens." Gulp!

Sons of Anarchy: Scoop on Jimmy Smits' future on the show from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Sons of Anarchy from this week's (Posted on 12/11/12) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Do you know if Jimmy Smits will be returning to Sons of Anarchy next season? I hope so. I really like him and Katey Sagal together. —Beth
Ausiello: There’s no deal currently in place for Smits to appear in Season 6, but as series creator Kurt Sutter told Meg Masters last week, “Nothing would make me happier than to bring him back… but he’s a busy guy. We’ll probably get into that soon with Jimmy.” Should he return, Sutter has big plans for Nero/Gemma. “I dig [them],” says the boss. “In the finale, when he’s all twisted up about being back in the life, that’s the thing that makes Gemma the most comfortable. She knows what to do with those kinds of men; she knows how to be strong for those kinds of men. So, what does that look like? It’s a culture clash that we haven’t explored yet. To plug her into that world, which is traditionally somewhat misogynistic, could be interesting to see played out a little bit and to see what that looks like. I’d love to keep that going.”

Sons of Anarchy: Scoop on the season 5 premiere from Zap2it's Carina Adly MacKenzie

Here's some scoop on Sons of Anarchy from Carina Adly MacKenzie's Monday Kickstart column for the week of 7/30/12.

"Sons of Anarchy": Jimmy Smits joked that one of the reasons he was interested in the show is that he doesn't have to wear a suit. Well, when we first meet his character in the Season 5 premiere, he's not wearing much of anything (except a bunch of tattoos). His character, Nero Padilla, makes a, um, connection with Gemma that could have some ripple effects into the season.
