Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Scoop on Andre Braugher and Kyra Sedgwick's futures on the show in season 3 from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Brooklyn Nine-Nine from this week's (Posted on 5/19/15) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Please, please, please tell me Andre Braugher isn’t leaving Brooklyn Nine-Nine! I’ve loved him since Homicide: Life on the Street, and I adore his gruff, seemingly cold, but brilliant character on one of my favorite comedies. There’s a Snapple and Smurf doll in it for you if you can answer my question! — Jenny
Ausiello: As reported in our Brooklyn finale post mortem, Braugher is indeed sticking around. Ditto Kyra Sedgwick as Holt’s nemesis, Madeline Wuntch — maybe. According to showrunners Mike Schur and Dan Goor, they would love to bring Sedgwick back for Season 3, if her schedule permits. “She fit in so well,” Schur said. “I’m sure that she’s fending off other shows offering her stuff, but she’s so interesting. She’s such a complex human being.”

Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Scoop on Kyra Sedgwick's role in season 2 from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Brooklyn Nine-Nine from this week's (Posted on 9/2/14) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Eva Longoria joining Brooklyn Nine-Nine really excites me. Can you spoil anything else about her role on the show? —Mia
Ausiello: Nothing beyond what we already reported. How about something on Kyra Sedgwick’s forthcoming B-99 guest stint instead? Co-showrunner Dan Goor confirms that her deputy police chief ties into the administrative shake-up in the Season 2 premiere. What’s more, Sedgwick’s character will take pleasure in watching Captain Holt suffer, seeing as how she’s his “longtime nemesis and equal who’s now risen above him, much to his chagrin.”

Major Crimes: Scoop on the possibility of Kyra Sedgwick appearing in season 3 from TVGuide's Natalie Abrams

Here's some scoop on Major Crimes from Natalie Abrams' Mega Buzz column, which was posted on 6/3/14.

If the new season of Major Crimes is focusing more on Fritz, is there any chance we will see The Closer's Brenda Leigh Johnson? — Michelle
It doesn't look likely at the moment. But even if Kyra Sedgwick is unable to put in a guest appearance, the show will feature a story line that hinges on Brenda's character. "Brenda is offered a job in Washington," creator James Duff says. "[She and Fritz] have to decide whether or not he's going to move there with her or if they're going to pursue a long-distance relationship for a while."
