Sleepy Hollow: Abbie and Jenny related scoop on episode 2x09 "Mama" from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Sleepy Hollow from this week's (Posted on 11/11/14) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: What’s coming up on Sleepy Hollow? —Lili
Ausiello: We know a bit about why Ichabod was chosen to become a Witness, but not much about why Abbie got picked for the job. Next week’s episode, “Mama” — in which Aunjanue Ellis debuts as Abbie and Jenny’s mom — fills in some of those holes. And according to someone in the know, Lyndie Greenwood and Nicole Beharie are amazing in the very emotional hour.

I'm so glad that Jenny survived the car crash on Sleepy Hollow. What's next for her? — Trisha
Jenny can't seem to catch a break! On Monday's all-new episode, the former mental patient will once again find herself behind bars after an unfortunate run-in with the new sheriff. And since Abbie is unable to explain the truth behind what Jenny is up to (you know, taking down the Horseman of Death), Abbie has no choice but to let her sister take one for the team. Hopefully, Abbie won't take another decade to get Jenny out this time.

Sleepy Hollow: Jenny related scoop on episode 2x02 "The Kindred" and scoop on Matt Barr's role from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Sleepy Hollow from this week's (Posted on 9/23/14) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Got anything on Sleepy Hollow? —Liz
Ausiello: Lyndie Greenwood tells TVLine that Jenny won’t be enamored of Sheriff Leena Reyes (played by House of Cards‘ Sakina Jaffrey), who debuts next week. A former Sleepy Hollow lawwoman, Reyes was around when Abbie and Jenny’s crazy mom was alive, but “Jenny doesn’t remember her, so when she finds out Reyes was around [before], she feels extremely betrayed,” the actress says. “She gets her guard up pretty quickly. She’s not a fan.” BONUS SCOOP: I hear that when Matt Barr’s Nick Hawley arrives on the scene, he’ll have a past connection to one Mills sister… but be interested in the other.

What's coming up for Abbie and Jenny on Sleepy Hollow? — Harriet
A sibling love triangle! Although executive producer Heather Kadin says the formerly estranged sisters will be on the "same side" more in Season 2, "there may be a male who might get in the middle of that," she teases. But what brings the duo closer together? Mommy issues! "Abbie's story this year really has to do with the relationship with her mother and a lot she didn't know about as a child," Kadin says. Even though their mom supposedly died years ago, I wouldn't be surprised if we see her in the flesh this season. Hit the comments with your casting ideas!

My thoughts: For the record, I'm currently in the process of watching season one of Sleepy Hollow for the first time, so I haven't seen any of the episodes that John Noble guest-starred in. However, he was always one of my favorite things about the TV show Fringe, so I'm really excited to hear that he's going to be a series regular next season. As for Lyndie Greenwoood being made a series regular, I love the character Jenny and I think Greenwood has done a terrific job on the show so far, I'm beyond thrilled that she will also be a series regular next season. This is definitely really great news. :)
