http://www.jsbg.me/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/mad_men_season_7_poster-copie-290x193.jpg

Here's some scoop on Mad Men from this week's (Posted on 3/12/15) Matt's Inside Line column.

When does the final season of Mad Men start? Any scoops? –Kathi
The acclaimed AMC drama launches its very final, seven-episode salvo on April 5. And having seen the season premiere — and after consulting the list of things we have been asked not to reveal – I shall tease:
* One of the characters goes on a surprising blind date
* An iconic hosiery product makes its debut
* Elizabeth Reaser fills a quite interesting role
* At least three series regulars are nowhere to be seen
* There will be a debate over who looks the most groovy these days, Stan or Ted
* There is a randomly spilled glass of red wine that is sure to launch 1,000 think pieces on “Who will die?”

Predictions shmictions! I can confirm that Mad Men will end its seven-season run… literally under the watchful eye of its creator. Meaning, Matt Weiner is set to pen the series finale as well as direct the final two episodes of the acclaimed AMC drama. Also: It was all in Tommy Westphall’s mind.

Mad Men: Don related scoop and casting related scoop from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

Here's some scoop on Mad Men from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat column, which was posted on 4/21/14.

Scott: No gonna lie, the premiere of Man Men was kind of a yawn. Please tell me that things are going to get a lot more interesting.
Don't you worry, things are going to get pretty sticky for Don Draper this year, especially towards the end of the season. We saw that there are plenty of new character who have joined the SC&P universe, and later we'll be meeting another VIP. Richard Burghoff is a confident, self-made man who is equal parts handsome and warm. Although we're not going to meet this man for quite some time—trust us when we tell you, he's worth the wait. We're not going to reveal who this character cozies up to, but many Mad Men fans will be pleased.

Mad Men: Pete related scoop on season 7 from TVGuide's Natalie Abrams

Here's some scoop on Mad Men from TVGuide's Natalie Abrams' Mega Buzz column, which was posted on 4/8/14.

Got any more Mad Men spoilers? — Emily
Pete's marriage crumbled in Season 6, but thanks to his new life in California, his outlook this year is extremely sunny. (Just wait until you see his outfit!) "Sometimes a clean slate is the best place to be because you can reinvent yourself," Vincent Kartheiser says. "The hope of that is invigorating. For a little while, you can fool everybody." But could Pete also be fooling himself? "He's making a good show, but I think most of it's a cover," Kartheiser says.

Mad Men: Peggy related scoop on the season 7 premiere (Episode 7x01 "Time Zones") from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

Here's some scoop on Mad Men from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat column, which was posted on 4/7/14.

Tyler: I know you've already seen the new Mad Men. Give up the goods!
You caught us, and all we'll say is that Peggy is in for an emotionally rough ride. Seriously, by the end of the episode you'll want to hug Peggy and never let her go. (We would've told you more but we've been sworn to secrecy by the powers that be at SC&P!) Looking ahead, we'll be meeting a new lady in the Mad Men universe and she's described as an attractive, sexually charged and powerful woman. Watch out for Pima Ryan, because she'll be a force to be reckoned with.

Here's some scoop on Mad Men from TVGuide's Natalie Abrams' Mega Buzz column, which was posted on 4/1/14.

Got any other Mad Men tidbits? What role does Megan play in the new season? — Eric
It may have looked like Megan walked out on Don last season, but she's still around in the season premiere. Her acting career has heated up, but things are still icy between her and Don. How bad is it? Well, she isn't spending her nights in the couple's swanky Park Avenue apartment.

Here's some scoop on Mad Men from TVGuide's Natalie Abrams' Mega Buzz column, which was posted on 3/25/14.

I need some Mad Men scoop! Will Don be back in the office?
It doesn't sound like it. "[Don's] screwed up the marriage, he's screwed up the kids. He always [knew] that at least he was good at his job, and now he doesn't even have that," Jon Hamm says of his character's forced leave of absence. But don't worry: I hear Don will find other creative outlets.

Mad Men: Spoilers on season 7 from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Mad Men from this week's (Posted on 11/19/13) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Got any Mad Men scoop for me? –Derek
Ausiello: Yes, just for you — but don’t tell anyone. Elisabeth Moss says that even though the cast is currently shooting the series’ final season, life behind the scenes at Sterling Cooper & Partners is pretty normal. “It’s hard to get too sad about it when you’re just at the beginning,” she tells TVLine. However, “The whole thing has more significance than it usually does. It can’t not. You treat everything with a little more significance. We were doing this thing like, ‘It’s the last second day!’ and ‘It’s the last first read through!’ That will go on for a little bit, and then we’ll probably forget about it.”

Mad Men: Sally related scoop on season 7 from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

Here's some scoop on Mad Men from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat column, which was posted on 9/26/13.

Janelle: How about some Sally Draper scoop on Mad Men?
Well, you're in luck! We caught up with the impeccably dressed Kiernan Shipka on Sunday and she told us that Sally Draper's style is going to be getting even more rebellious this season. "Her style at the beginning, rightfully so, looked like her mother dressed he and that's how it was supposed to be," Shipka says. "But this season it looks like she is dressing herself a little bit more and getting a little bit more sassy. Her skirts have been getting shorter and shorter throughout the season."

Mad Men: Scoop on season 7 from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Mad Men from this week's (Posted on 9/24/13) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: How will Mad Men‘s split season impact how Matt Weiner’s writes the final 14 episodes? For example, will he view Episode 7 as a season finale, and treat it accordingly, or will it be just a regular episode? —Dave
Ausiello: It’s a great question, and I tried to coax an answer out of the typically tight-lipped auteur at Sunday’s Emmys (shocker: I think I succeeded.) “I’m interested in entertainment and I want the audience to be glued to it and I want them to be addicted and I want them to come back,” he said. “So I will do everything I can in those seven episodes to tell a story where they’ll be like, ‘What is the rest of this?’”

Mad Men: Peggy and Don related scoop on season 7 and more from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Mad Men from this week's (Posted on 7/23/13) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: I know it’s super early, but is there anything you can tell me about the next season of Mad Men? I really want Peggy and Don to come to some kind of understanding. – Hayley
Ausiello: And I really want Megan to take a gig in a Siberian summerstock production of Waiting for Godot 2: Waiting… and Waiting… and Waiting…, but we can’t always get what we want. After all, as Elisabeth Moss tells TVLine, the end-of-the-season scene where Peggy calls her mentor a “monster” was pretty tough. “We’ve had so many arguments, Peggy and Don. We’ve been through a lot. There’s been a lot of ups and downs,” Moss says. “But that moment, to me, was her lowest with him. Whatever they’ve been through, this thing really broke her heart. She really sees him for who he is in that moment and really is incredibly disillusioned for the first time.” Which means Don probably isn’t getting a World’s Best Boss mug when the series returns for Season 7.

Question: Mad Men! Anything! Give it to me! – Derek
Ausiello: How about this? Emmy nominee Linda Cardellini was as surprised as you were about the way Bob Benson’s storyline played out. “I wouldn’t let [show creator and executive producer] Matt Weiner show me the [last two episodes] or tell me about [them],” Cardellini tells TVLine. “He invited me to the read-throughs, and I said, ‘No, I don’t want to know what happens.’” So… what did she think? “The amazing thing about it is, it all makes sense, but it was never in a million years what I would have predicted. And I thought James [Wolk] as Bob Benson – he was so great, because he did nothing but be affable and nice,” she says, laughing. “And nobody trusted him!”

Mad Men: Scoop on the possibility of Don telling his children about his past in season 7 from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Mad Men from this week's (Posted on 6/25/13) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Do you think the final shot of this season’s Mad Men finale means that Don is finally going to tell his children the whole truth about who he is? —Aubrey
Ausiello: That’s a tough one; Draper bringing his kids to the cathouse where he was raised is one thing; confessing that he’s essentially a criminal is another. And series creator Matthew Weiner isn’t much help on the topic. He acknowledges that the children’s lack of information on their dad – highlighted by Sally’s family-tree project and the Grandma Ida break-in – “has always been a tension in the show.” He adds, “Even if he tells Megan his secret and Betty knows it and Pete knows it, those children don’t. At what point are they going to ask? And will he ever tell them?” And then, much like his main character, Weiner pulled a Don Draper and clammed up on the subject.

Major Crimes: Scoop on the possibility of Billy Burke appearing on the show and scoop on episode 2x03 "Under the Influence" from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich

Here's some scoop on Major Crimes from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich's weekly column Matt's Inside Line for the week of 6/20/13.

I’ve been wondering if we’ll ever actually see Philip Stroh on Major Crimes again? –Estee
This is a very good question, and when I reached out to TNT about this myself, I thought, “Surely, Billy Burke can come back for a trial scene or two.” But then it hit me: If they’re going to show us even a second of the Stroh trial, it’d be glaringly conspicuous if Brenda herself didn’t pop up, and that simply isn’t going to happen. In other words: I won’t be surprised if they write around Stroh’s “reappearance.” P.S. This coming Monday’s episode is a goodie, especially if you’ve warmed up to Rusty and/or are a fan of Ben Feldman (Mad Men‘s Ginsberg).
