Sorry if you're 'shipping Barry and his BFF Iris, because Barry's about to meet someone...and it sounds like this won't be just some random fling! Malese Jow debuts on the CW superhero show tonight as Barry's new love interest Linda Park, and she tells us that she's going to be around for a while. "I think she can be very good for him and we'll see them develop real feelings for each other," Jow says. "We'll see if she has real staying power. I'm not going to lie, it's terrifying coming in between this couple the fans are rooting for! People are very vocal about this, but I feel like Linda can stand a chance. Hopefully the fans will like her and be nice to me!"

The introduction of Malese Jow as Linda Park, Barry’s new love interest, will throw a wrench in WestAllen for the time being. “We wanted Barry to have a little romance,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg says. “Our iteration of Linda, she’s a spark plug. She’s a firecracker. She’s a lot of fun. She’s ballsy and she speaks her mind. She’s cool. Barry can’t kind of believe that somebody like her is interested in him. Barry suddenly having somebody like that in his life will cause the other women in his life to maybe see a little green.” 

But Barry’s recent proclamation of love for Iris will weigh on Linda… and Iris, Eddie, and Caitlin. Yes, Caitlin. “Barry and Caitlin go on an inadvertent date,” Kreisberg says.

The Flash: Scoop on Barry's love life from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich

Can you get some info on The Flash? Will Iris reciprocate the feelings Barry has for her? Will we see them get together this season (hopefully)? –Brenda
Noting that Barry’s midseason finale confession “really changed the world, and there’s no going back,” EP Andrew Kreisberg says the next few episodes back will be “dealing with the repercussions.” And Barry might just “deal” by moving on. “As he gets a new love interest in Linda Park (played by Malese Jow), Iris’ reaction to that is going to be interesting,” Kreisberg previews. “Certainly, there is no shortage of amazing women in Barry Allen’s life, including Caitlin and Felicity. Which girl actually gets to land him will be one of the surprises of the back half of the season.”
