As of yet, no official plans, but we’ll likely see her in the future. “That is something that will be wrapped up at some point,” executive producer Peter Lenkov tells me. “She’s definitely still a part of our world, I will say that. I know that there’s a lot of like fans that go either way on her character, but that story in my mind is not wrapped up.”

Inside sources say that storyline is definitely not over. While McGarrett may be happy with Lynn, there’s a very real possibility we’ll see Catherine again. But I can tell you there’s another familiar face set to return: Serial killer Dr. Madison Gray, who is expected to bring more death and destruction to the island. While fans probably shouldn’t worry about any members of Five-0 falling victim, she’s not going down without messing with their heads. She’s got one more card to play and believe me when I tell you: It’s a big one!

Sorry to break it to you, but I don’t think it’ll be good news for fans of Catherine and McGarrett when Michelle Borth returns in the 150th episode. “People are interpreting it like her coming back into the relationship and starting all over again, but I just don’t think that can happen after all that these two have gone through,” EP Peter Lenkov says. “Her relation to the story is more plot driven than reigniting that relationship.”

Question: I’m thrilled to see Michelle Borth back on Hawaii Five-0. Please tell me that she is staying. —Sandra
Ausiello: Borth is staying on as Catherine… at least for a little while, in part because next season will open with the “first dance” at Kono and Adam’s wedding. “We’ll miss the actual vows, but we’ll come in on them being introduced as husband and wife,” showrunner Peter M. Lenkov tells TVLine. As for Borth’s status, “We haven’t finalized how long she’ll stay, but she’ll definitely be in some episodes at the beginning of the season,” he shares. “We haven’t figured out exactly where to go, but we’re working on it.”

Ausiello: I’m told her exit was storyline-dictated. And she’ll make her final appearance in this season’s penultimate hour on May 2 — an episode exec producer Peter M. Lenkov described to TVLine in a recent interview as a “big, dramatic” one for Cath and Steve, featuring “some flashbacks to [Catherine's] stint in the military.”

Hawaii Five-0 | As reported earlier this spring, Combat Hospital vet Michelle Borth, after recurring for two seasons as Five-0′s Lt. Catherine Rollins, has been promoted to series regular regular status for Season 3. But how will that work exactly? How will McGarrett’s No. 1 lady enter the mix? “It’s very organic,” starting with the Season 3 opener, says showrunner Peter Lenkov. The only “trick” is Rollins and McGarrett juggling the personal with the professional. “When she originally joins, they are still dating,” says Lenkov. “And it’s going to be very difficult, like any relationship is.”
