Pretty Little Liars: Scoop on the Ravenswood-centric episode from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Pretty Little Liars from this week's (Posted on 6/18/14) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: During her Reddit AMA, Marlene King said she wants to do a “Ravenswood episode” on Pretty Little Liars this season. Anything more you can tell me? I miss that spin-off. — Claire
Ausiello: Plans for a Ravenswood-centric episode are indeed underway, but King tells me nothing has been finalized. “I stay in touch with all of those people, both the kids and the adults,” she says. “They know we’d love to — I don’t want to say ‘tie up’ the story — but at least give it some closure. More than we were allowed to, anyway. We were heading somewhere with that story and we want to let the fans know where that was.”

We just got off the phone with the always-adorable Nicole Gale Anderson and she promised us that one of the biggest Ravenswood secrets will be revealed but we might have to wait a little longer then we'd like. We all know that something is totally up with Dylan and he's somehow connected the Max, the little demon child from hell. Anderson reveals that it will take our five teens "a while" before they discover Dylan's secrets. "They don't really catch on until the last episode," she admitted. "I know, as savvy as they are, it'll take them a while with that one." Come on, guys, the clock is ticking!

Layla: Ravenswood is the only thing getting me through the week! Please tell me you have spoilers?
Of course we do! This is Spoiler Chat, remember? This week it's the mid-season finale of Ravenswood, and even though we're so sad to say goodbye to our ultra-creepy town, we can't wait to learn more about Caleb's past. We recently chatted with star Tyler Blackburn and he promises that this flashback-filled episode is packed with vital information. "Original Caleb and Miranda were in love, very deep in love," he revealed. "And it's an interesting point that they look exactly like modern Caleb and Miranda, whereas the other members of the curse, their relatives don't look anything like them. So it sort of raises the question of, is it them? Are they just the same people but reincarnated?" Dun dun dunnnn!

"There are also some really awesome flashbacks that we got to do that revealed the original Miranda and Caleb and you kind of get an idea why they have this instant connection." We recently chatted with star, and newly transformed ghost, Nicole Gale Anderson, and she promised us that this week we will finally get some answers surrounding Miranda's mother. "In episode four there's a ghost that makes an appearance and Miranda believes it's her mom," she says. "[Miranda] goes off into a glowing doorway pulling her into the light and after that we don't know what's going to happen." Yikes! Normally we'd tell you to walk towards the light, but we're not ready to say goodbye to our spunky little heroine again.

Well my little thrill-seeker, prepare to get in touch with your supernatural side. We have strong suspicions that Miranda is one extremely gifted young woman—and we're not just talking about school. Nicole Gale Anderson tells us that by the end of the next episode, fans will realize just how genetically skilled Miranda really is. "There is a supernatural element." She explains, "I can't say specifically what it is in relation to, but in episode 2, everyone will find out her connection to the supernatural realm." Ohh! Color us intrigued!

Ravenswood: Scoop on the possibility of cast members from Pretty Little Liars appearing on the show and more from Entertainment Weekly's Sandra Gonzalez

Here's some scoop on Ravenswood from Entertainment Weekly's Sandra Gonzalez's The Spoiler Room column, which was posted on 10/26/13.

Any chance of other members of PLL coming to Ravenswood? — Lilian
Not in the first five, but Marlene King teases, “There is definitely a plan of action that would bring the character of Hanna to Ravenswood.”

SANDRA! I loved the premiere of Ravenswood … but are they setting up Miranda and Caleb to become a thing? Please tell me Haleb isn’t doomed –  Stella
“There’s nothing set in stone that says that anybody has to be in a relationship with anyone else,” reports Marlene King. “I think as we’re getting to know the characters; they’re leading the way as to where we go with these relationships. The same goes for Hanna on PLL — there’s a new character who becomes a part of here life while Caleb is in Ravenswood and we are letting those characters sort of pave the way and decide if there’s going to be a relationship there or not.” One thing you probably won’t see, though, she says? A Miranda-Hanna feud. “We try not to do that on PLL and we’ll try not to do that on Ravenswood — we like girls to support girls,” she says. “It’s sort of the cardinal rule — no PLL ever touches another PLL boyfriend, or girlfriend, in Emily’s case.”

Why, you ask? Brace yourselves, PLL fans, because it looks like Ravenswood is going to be a billion times darker than those silly antics we've been following in Rosewood.
