Here's some scoop on Major Crimes from this week's (Posted on 10/27/16) Matt's Inside Line column.

Any updates on Major Crimes? — Jon
Rob Estes (Silk Stalkings, 90210) is set to guest-star in the midseason premiere as Clark, a shady, diamond-sharp law enforcement officer-turned-fixer for the super-rich and powerful, someone who is “willing to lie and cover for their sins as much as his own.”

90210: Adam Gregory to return for a season 5 episode

90210 Season 5 Spoilers

Both TVGuide's Robyn Ross and TVLine's Megan Masters are reporting that Adam Gregory will be reprising his role from season 1, Ty Collins. For those who might have forgotten, Annie briefly dated Ty, and Ty is also the father of Adrianna's daughter, Maisie, who she gave up for adoption. Here's an excerpt from the TVGuide article, which gives some details on Gregory's return:

Ty will return for an episode in which we see how his character would've fared had Annie (Shenae Grimes) never moved to Beverly Hills. The two had a romance in Season 1, but matters got complicated when Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) revealed he got her pregnant after a one-night stand. They eventually agree on adoption and after the birth in the Season 1 finale, Ty was never to be seen again.

The episode is currently slated to air either in late December or early January.

My thoughts: I have to admit that I'm kind of confused about the exact details regarding the episode that Adam Gregory is going to be guest-starring in, because both articles make it seem like the episode is going to revolve around the character Ty. However, that wouldn't really make much sense to have an entire episode focus on him since he was just a guest-star in the show's first season. If I had to guess what the episode is going to be like based on the information that's been given, I'm guessing that the whole episode is going to be a "What if..." dream that Annie has about what her life would be like if she and her family had never moved to Beverly Hills.

That being said, the idea for the episode sounds very interesting to me, because I've typically really enjoyed it when TV shows have done "What if..." episodes in the past such as the one that Friends did or the one that Desperate Housewives did. I have to say that I'm really enjoying season 5 of 90210 so far. I'm definitely enjoying it more than the final season of Gossip Girl, that's for sure. At the moment, I'm probably enjoying Liam and Silver's storylines the most. Although, all of the storylines are at least somewhat interesting in my opinion. I'm also excited about the fact that they are also bringing Zachary Ray Sherman (Jasper) and Abbie Cobb (Emily) back later this season, because those are two recurring guest-star characters that I really enjoyed. Plus, the writers never really gave an explanation of what happened to Jasper after we saw Liam beating him up because he set Liam's boat on fire at the end of the season 2 finale. Hopefully, the return of Jasper will be able to give the viewers some closure on that storyline.

Two former cast members that I would really like to see return for at least one episode this season are Rob Estes (Harry Wilson) and Dustin Milligan (Ethan Ward). It just feels weird to me that the writers haven't had Rob make an appearance on the show given everything that's happened with Annie and Dixon since he left the show at the end of season 2. At least they brought Lori Loughlin back for the season 5 premiere, which was nice, but I would still like Rob Estes to return for at least one episode.

90210: Lori Loughlin returning for the Season 5 premiere-TVLine

According to TVLine's Kimberly Roots, Lori Loughlin who played Annie and Dixon's mother, Debbie Wilson, for the first three seasons of 90210 will be returning for the season 5 premiere, which airs October 8th (8/7c). Roots is also reporting that Rob Estes who played Annie and Dixon's father, Harry Wilson, for the first three seasons won't be returning for the season 5 premiere. Here's an excerpt from the article:

Loughlin left the show in 2011 when its focus narrowed to include only the teen storylines. Her on-screen ex-husband, played by Rob Estes, departed after the show split them up in 2010; Loughlin’s Debbie had been flirting with teacher Ryan Matthews before the actress signed off at the end of the third season.

According to sources, Loughlin is returning solo: Estes will not appear in the premiere.

As fans of the famous zip code know, Dixon was in a car accident at the end of last season, just as he was begging Navid to stop Adrianna from relocating to Las Vegas.

So Laughlin will be back to do one of two things: help her son recuperate… or plan his funeral!

My thoughts: I'm so glad that Lori Loughlin will be returning for the season 5 premiere of 90210. I loved season 4 of 90210 for the most part. I definitely liked it more than season 5 of Gossip Girl, but one of my biggest complaints about season 4 of 90210 was the absence of Debbie and Harry from Annie and Dixon's lives last season. Annie and Dixon definitely went through a lot last year, especially with Annie's legal problems with Marta's family contesting the terms of her will, Dixon developing a drug problem and later learning that he has a heart condition, it just felt really weird and very frustrating to not have Debbie and Harry around to help them at least a little bit. It would be nice if Rob Estes was returning for season 5 too, but I'm glad that at least Lori Loughlin will be returning for an episode next season, which is good.
