Though Kerry Washington doesn’t necessarily think Olivia’s on the path to redemption, there’s still hope from some of the other Gladiators, but it’s going to take all of them to achieve it. “If she’s going to come back from this deep, dark place, it’s going to take a team effort — I don’t think Jake can do it on his own, I think Fitz can do it on his own, I don’t think Mellie can do it,” Scott Foley says. “Whether it’s the OPA or QPA crew, or the White House crew, she’s got to be brought back into the light, and I don’t think there’s one person that can do that.”

I can’t confirm nor deny her fate, but I can tell you how QPA would feel if they found out what really happened to her: “I think that would be a deal-breaker for Huck at least,” Guillermo Diaz tells me. “There would be no coming back from that if Huck found out that Olivia had a part in having Quinn murdered.” Does that all but confirm my theory that Charlie is pointing his gun at Olivia in this winter premiere photo? “We’re shooting at a snake in the grass — that’s what it looks like to me,” George Newbern quips. “It could be many things. It’s a cool shot.” Pun intended?

Ausiello: Katie Lowes’ presence during our final visit to the ABC series’ set would seem to suggest that Quinn is alive and well when the farewell season resumes on Jan. 18. “You’ll know very early on [what happened to Quinn] — I can say that, right?” the actress tells TVLine. “I am not at liberty to say anything other than that, but you know the show has played around a lot with time and flashbacks and things like that, so you will have to see in which realm Quinn is either here or not when we come back.”

Here’s some good news: Katie Lowes was actually on set while I was there Wednesday, so Quinn might still be alive! Maybe. Hopefully. “I can’t say anything much about why I’m here, but you know that the show deals a lot with flashbacks and time not necessarily moving in chronological order,” Lowes teases. “You will find out very early on as soon as we come back what Quinn’s fate is. All I can say is some of the stuff you’re going to see is definitely the hardest stuff I’ve ever done for sure.”
