Teen Wolf: Malia and Stiles related scoop on season 5 from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

http://d.ibtimes.co.uk/en/full/1426383/teen-wolf-season-5.jpg?w=736

Here's some scoop on Teen Wolf from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat column, which was posted on 6/9/15.

Teenfreakinwolf: Anything Teen Wolf because I don't know how much longer I can wait for it to return!
Forget supernatural threats, some of our gang is just hoping to make it through high school! "Malia is just trying to make it to senior year, she's just trying to pass junior year," Shelley Hennig teases. "I think she's just trying to stay with the pack, especially Stiles, and hopefully she gets there." And even if she does, it won't be smooth sailing for Stiles and Malia…or any other couple, as Hennig warns, "every single relationship is going to be tested."

Teen Wolf: Malia related scoop on episode 4x03 "Muted" from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Teen Wolf from this week's (Posted on 7/1/14) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: I’ve loved Shelley Hennig since her days on The Secret Circle (RIP) and am so excited to see her on Teen Wolf in a major role! I’ve been waiting since spring for any kind of scoop on Malia and what she’ll be up to! Can you share anything?! —Sarah
Ausiello: You’re in luck, Sarah, because next week’s Teen Wolf is a biggie for Malia. In addition to a budding friendship with Lydia, fans can expect a full-on Malia meltdown, as well as a highly anticipated hook-up that may or may not have been teased in the original Season 4 trailer. Get that pause button ready.

Teen Wolf: Scoop on Malia's relationship with her father from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Teen Wolf from this week's (Posted on 6/24/14) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: We’ve heard a lot about Malia and Stiles on Teen Wolf, but what about Malia and Peter? What will her relationship be like with her dad? —Deb
Ausiello: Well, Deb, if you guessed either “awkward” or “difficult,” you’d be right on the money. “Peter is the guy who Malia has heard nothing but horrible things about from Scott, Stiles and Lydia,” Shelley Hennig explains. “I’m sure there’s a part of her that thinks, ‘This is my dad, I can’t ignore him,’ but then there’s also another part, telling her, ‘I don’t think that’s a good idea.’ There might be a bit of a struggle with that.” I say “might” is an understatement.

The Secret Circle: Scoop from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on The Secret Circle from this week's (Posted on 2/7/12) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: The episode description for Thursday’s Secret Circle says Diana takes some “Devil’s Spirit” and loosens up around Lee. How loose are we talking? —Lynda
Ausiello: Pretty damn loose, according to her portrayer, Shelley Hennig. “It’s like giving a 21-year-old a drink for their first time,” she explains. “They’re going to react differently than someone who’s drank before. Diana’s really sensitive to the drug, and it really gets to her. She becomes quite a fun character.” Hennig admits she’s actually “petrified” to see the final cut because “I had no boundaries when I shot it. I’m not kidding. Between me and the director, there were no boundaries. They can’t show everything, but you’ll definitely see Diana pushing the limits, especially with Lee.”

The Secret Circle: Season 1 Episode 13 Shelley Hennig Preview-TVLine

Here's an interview that TVLine's Vlada Gelman did with Shelley Hennig about The Secret Circle. In the interview, Shelley talks about tonight's episode. She also talks about what's coming up on the show, especially in terms of Faye and Diana's friendship. Here's an excerpt from the article, which gives some details on tonight's episode:

TVLINE | Diana and Ethan throw Adam a birthday party this week. How does that go?
Isn’t that interesting? You know, after Ethan rocked Diana’s world… he seems to be coming around. Adam has a rough relationship with his father. Even though Diana is dealing with Adam and Cassie, she’s still in love with Adam. She wants to be there for him, and she thinks it’s important to do something for his birthday. She’s always done it. It just so happens that Ethan asks Diana for help. So it’s kind of awkward, but Ethan’s really making an effort.

TVLINE | Birthdays are often a time when people rekindle their romances.
Right?! I don’t think that was Diana’s intention. As Adam’s best friend and the closest person she’s ever been to, she just thinks it’s the right thing to do, to throw him a birthday party. I think she tries to make herself… seem like the smallest amount of the reason [why] he’s actually having a birthday thrown, but Ethan throws Diana a loop, so she has to take control.

TVLINE | Do you feel like Diana and Adam are in a stronger place by the end of this episode? Or are they further apart?
I don’t know. I definitely don’t think it’s over.

The Secret Circle Season 1 Episode 5: Diana and Adam's Date Night Preview-TVLine

When you’re bound to four other people by a spell, it can be hard to find alone time with your boyfriend. So Diana takes it upon herself to recreate some magic (of the romantic variety) by planning a date night with Adam on The Secret Circle this Thursday (The CW, 9/8c).

Spicing up their romance, though, won’t necessarily be easy, considering the two have been together for three years — which in high school terms roughly translates to a very long time.

“I don’t think they’re tired of each other,” says Thomas Dekker during a Vancouver set visit arranged by Warner Bros TV. “But ultimately, the oxymoron of what’s great about their relationship and what’s bad about it is [how] comfortable they are together.” The two have an “unspoken language” and an ability to really be “at ease” with each other, but it comes with a downside. “It’s not necessarily exciting in that same way [that it used to be],” continues Dekker. “It’s sort of like a long marriage. Maybe in teen years, that’s what it is.”

For Shelley Hennig, it’s that “really strong and long history” that make Diana and Adam a couple to root for — despite Adam and Cassie’s pull toward each other. “Diana and Adam have a really special connection and a really great relationship, regardless of what’s happening with Cassie,” she says, comparing the couple’s romance to The Notebook and Sweet Home Alabama, movies where you find yourself wanting the heroine to reconnect with her first love. “I don’t know about you, but when I watch, I always want them to go back to their roots,” she explains.

As Diana and Adam try to reignite the spark in their relationship, the series will delve into their roots and “who Diana and Adam are as a couple, what’s their history, what are they really like together,” previews Dekker. And from the sound of this cryptic tease from Hennig, it seems like the exploration will be…revealing: “Diana and Adam are going to surprise you. You’ll be surprised at what their relationship really is when they’re not doing witchcraft – or maybe when they are doing witchcraft.” Then she pointedly adds, “Alone!”

But the Cassie issue can’t be ignored, and it will cause “ups and downs” for the pair, says Hennig. Adam and Diana “truly do love each other,” she explains. “But Cassie brings in another element of confusion.”

That turmoil will only grow if someone new ever catches Diana’s eye, which is definitely a possibility this season because, let’s face it, we’re talking about a teen drama on The CW. “That might very well happen,” confirms Dekker. And should it, he thinks Adams would be “devastated.”

“This is something that we’re trying to focus on in the show – yes, Cassie and Adam have this fate that they can’t fight, but that doesn’t mean Diana and Adam don’t love each other. They really do,” he explains. “It’s a very complex situation with these two people who care immensely for each other, but there’s this tidal wave that’s just crashing over and over.”

Naturally, that means Chance Harbor’s love triangle is only going to get more complex, says Dekker. And where there’s a messy love triangle, there’s usually heartbreak not too far behind, so it’s no surprise that things get “very heavy and sad,” adds the actor. “Quite tragic.”
