Here's some scoop on The Blacklist from Entertainment Weekly's Natalie Abrams' The Spoiler Room column, which was posted on 4/14/17.

Will the fact that Tom’s dad ended up being the bad guy on Redemption be addressed on The Blacklist? James
Redemption‘s season may be over, but it sounds like we’ll hear more about that storyline in some way, shape or form. “Tom just discovered his father has used him by preying upon the big questions and emotional baggage he’s been struggling with for over 20 years,” EP Jon Bokenkamp says. “I can’t imagine how we could ignore that going forward in the life of this character. This new revelation definitely feeds into the insecurities and trust issues that have shaped Tom since childhood.”

The Blacklist: Scoop on the future of Liz and Tom's marriage from Entertainment Weekly's Natalie Abrams

Here's some scoop on The Blacklist from Entertainment Weekly's Natalie Abrams' The Spoiler Room column, which was posted on 3/17/17.

Is there any word on how Tom’s absence is going to affect his marriage to Liz on The Blacklist? — Martel
Well, it certainly isn’t going to help it. But what ultimately ends up happening between Tom and Liz all depends on whether The Blacklist: Redemption gets renewed for a second season. “Right now, his plans are to return home at some point, but I think that if he stays at Halcyon, they would have to figure out what that means for their relationship,” Ryan Eggold says. “It would either be that he would make it home and bounce back and forth, or they would figure out if they need to let the relationship go or change the arrangements. I don’t know if a long distance thing is really in their future; it’s too early to say. I don’t think Tom or Liz have planned that far ahead.”

The Blacklist: Scoop on Red's knowledge about Tom's life from Entertainment Weekly's Natalie Abrams

https://tv-fanatic-res.cloudinary.com/iu/s--WIx_SGDx--/t_slideshow/f_auto,fl_lossy,q_75/v1475532006/tom-and-red-have-a-chat-the-blacklist-season-4-episode-3.jpg

Here's some scoop on The Blacklist from Entertainment Weekly's Natalie Abrams' The Spoiler Room column, which was posted on 3/3/17.

How did Red have so much info on Tom on The Blacklist? Is he connected to Christopher Hargrave’s disappearance? — Kyle
Just because Red knew Tom was Scottie’s son does not mean he played a role in the abduction. In fact, the writers are trying to keep the mythos of each show somewhat separate. “What Reddington told Tom was to stay away from it,” EP Jon Bokenkamp says. “There’s no good that is going to come from [him] going into this world and asking these questions. Red is not somebody who has a tremendous amount of love for Tom. They’ve had their own fraught relationship, but that did seem genuine. That was one of the most caring things Reddington’s ever told Tom, and he probably said that because he cares about Elizabeth and Agnes. But as far as the history, the two shows share some DNA, because they live in the same landscape, and there’s great potential for some crossovers, but I don’t think Red had anything to do with the origin of this story. Of course, he’s always full of secrets, so who knows? But it feels like it stands on its own.”

The Blacklist: Scoop on the possibility of potential crossovers with The Blacklist: Redemption from Entertainment Weekly's Natalie Abrams

Here's some scoop on The Blacklist from Entertainment Weekly's Natalie Abrams' The Spoiler Room column, which was posted on 9/23/16.

How often will The Blacklist crossover with Redemption once it debuts? — Sharlene
That’s still being worked out, per EP Jon Bokenkamp. “Part of the fun of it is I feel like we have a handle on who our characters are,” he says. “It’s going to be super fun to explore new territory and yet these characters are super specific. The Redemption characters and the various characters who we set up — and there will be more — those characters could pop over to The Blacklist and vice versa, but we don’t really know yet. We’ll have to see where the stories take us. We’re totally open to the idea. We love the idea.”

Loved the reveal that Scottie is Tom’s mom on The Blacklist. But wish we got to see more of that in the finale. — Jared
Then it’s a good thing the spin-off, The Blacklist: Redemption, has been picked up to series, because that will definitely explore more of their delicate dynamic. “I do think Tom is smart enough to realize that his power comes from the fact that he knows something Scottie does not,” EP Jon Bokenkamp says. “So it’s going to be imperative for him to keep this little secret to himself.”
