Here's some scoop on The New Normal from Carina Adly MacKenzie's Monday Kickstart column for the week of 4/1/13.

"The New Normal": The upcoming hour-long "New Normal" finale night features the age-old dilemma of what to name the baby. Star Justin Bartha tells us, "I want to name the baby after somebody in my family, which is a goofy name. We disagree strongly on the baby name, as a lot of people do."

The New Normal: Scoop on episode 1x21 "Finding Name-O" and episode 1x22 "The Big Day" from Entertainment Weekly's Sandra Gonzalez

Here's some scoop on The New Normal from Entertainment Weekly's Sandra Gonzalez's The Spoiler Room column, which was posted on 3/27/13.

I hope you check your mail early, Sandra, because I LOVED last night’s New Normal and need some scoop on the rest of the season. — Chrissy
Wasn’t it excellent? And luckily, when EW’s Tim Stack talked with Justin Bartha about the episode, he got brought back a nugget for you: “We have the two remaining episodes that will air back to back. The first episode you will find out the name of the baby so it’s the baby naming episode. Both David and Brian have different ideas for what they wanna name their child. So you’ll find out how they decide on a name and what the name will be. And then the finale, you’ll see a try for a wedding, hopefully some kind of wedding. It will not go off without a hitch obviously. And then hopefully you will see some kind of birthing process. Some kind of nuptials and some kind of birthing process. I don’t want to tell you exactly how it happens but the birthing process will be from a vagina and the wedding will include some sort of master of ceremonies.” OK, that was more than a nugget. But it was all too good for me to interrupt!

Here's some scoop on The New Normal from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat for Friday 3/8/13.

Tynan in Los Angeles: Will we or will we not see the baby being born on The New Normal before the season ends?
Affirmative! Andrew Rannells tells us that they are filming the big season finale right now. "Without spoiling anything, there's a baby," he says. "Our surrogate gives birth. It's emotional to wrap up the season and I think we're visiting the places that we began with the show, and it does fell really emotional." So babies and tears in the finale. Got it.

Theresa in Boston: What's coming up on New Normal?
An epic Halloween episode, that is for damn sure. Not only are both Nicole Ritchie and George Takei guest starring, but Bryan will be dressing up in what Andrew Rannells tells us is a "tribute to Honey Boo Boo." Oh, and did we mention we'll be flashing back to other Halloweens? That's happening, too.

The New Normal: Scoop on Matt Bomer's character from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

Here's some scoop on The New Normal from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat Daily for Wednesday 10/17/12.

misslicorne: Anything on The New Normal? Something about Matt Bomer's character?
Bomer's character Drew will have eyes as blue as the ocean on a warm summer day. Wait, that's a given. It's Matt Bomer for crying out loud! You want something new? OK, the reason he and Bryan might have broken up? Because Drew cheated on him...with a girl. That should make for a very awkward reunion for the exes.

The New Normal: Jane and Shania related scoop from Zap2it's Carina Adly MacKenzie

Here's some scoop on The New Normal from Carina Adly MacKenzie's Monday Kickstart column for the week of 10/8/12.

"The New Normal": Jane is equal opportunity hater when it comes to the sanctity of marriage. Ellen Barkin's character is just as upset with children pretend-marrying on the playground as she is with the idea of gay marriage, and tries her hardest to disrupt the ceremony when her great-granddaughter, Shania, decides to (fake) tie the knot before she and her mom have to move back to Ohio.

The New Normal: Halloween related casting scoop from Zap2it's Carina Adly MacKenzie

Here's some scoop on The New Normal from Carina Adly MacKenzie's Monday Kickstart column for the week of 10/1/12.

"The New Normal": A little behind-the-scenes fun! Ryan Murphy sent out a casting notice looking for a long-haired six-year-old girl... to play a six-year-old boy. Later, the casting notice was amended -- we suppose they didn't get many parents chomping at the bit for that role. Now, they're looking for a "VERY effeminate" (their words and emphasis, not ours) boy to play the role of Ian's (Erik Weiner)'s son Henry, a boy who wants to dress as a fairy for Halloween.

The New Normal: Scoop on episode 1x03 "Baby Clothes" from Zap2it's Carina Adly MacKenzie

Here's some scoop on The New Normal from Carina Adly MacKenzie's Monday Kickstart column for the week of 9/17/12.

"The New Normal": In this week's episode, David's concerns about their future child's health put a damper on Bryan's excitement about their impending bundle of joy -- and, more specifically, his shopping for their impending bundle of joy. David's neurosis and worry may run in the family -- in an upcoming episode, the boys make a joyful baby announcement to David's mother at a swanky L.A. restaurant. Let's just say she doesn't react as ecstatically as you might thing an expectant grandmother would.
