'American Horror Story': Tate is on my last twisted nerve-From Inside the Box-Zap2it

hayden-halloween-ahs.jpgWhen we last left our intrepid Murder House dwellers and their various friends, acquaintences and supernatural enemies on "American Horror Story," Violet was missing, Rubber S&M Suit Man was lurking about, Addie might have been killed in a brutal hit-and-run, whatever is growing in Vivien's stomach made a nurse faint, and that pesky Hayden showed up. Ding dong!

"Halloween, Part 2" sure had a lot to live up to - and it more than did.

In the world of Violet and Tate, Tate takes Violet out for a date and they are suddenly harassed by all these high schoolers with horrible wounds. Who knew right away they had to be the ghosts of the kids he shot up? *raises hand* Who did NOT know it was going to be from roughly 18 years before? *raises hand* Having already guessed Tate was Constance's son, I should've done the math on that one, but I did not, so I was pleasantly surprised by the twist when the cheerleader said she should be 34 years old.

So - Tate's a ghost? Are we all in agreement on that front?

For Ben and Vivien, their night of horrors is plagued by Burned Man and Hayden. Hayden's sole purpose is to tell Vivien the truth about Ben and the trip to Boston. She is pretty distraught to hear that Vivien is with child. In the end, Vivien kicks Ben out.

Do you think we've seen the last of Hayden after she disappeared out of the security guard's car? And how many episodes do you think it is until Vivien starts sleeping with the officer? My money might actually be on next week.

It appears for Constance that Addie really is dead, which is a shame because the Jamie Brewer-Jessica Lange scenes provided some of the most twisted and yet poignant (and also well-acted) scenes of the show. We're assuming she won't come back as a ghost since Constance couldn't get her to the lawn in time, but fingers crossed.

Thoughts & Tidbts

  • The dog in the microwave thing was an awesome ploy by Hayden (and by extension, the writers). Totally freaked me out, I screamed right out loud along with Connie Britton.
  • Love the "ghosts can leave the house on Halloween" thing. Here's hoping next year (because "AHS" got renewed for a second season) they can get Zachary Quinto back because he rules everything, all the time.
  • I wonder who the hand under Violet's bed was...
Thoughts, "AHS" fans? I thought it was another solid episode. Good plot development, some humor and of course lots of scares. Next week's episode is called "Piggy Piggy." Yikes.
