SEASON 2 TEASE | Although Jake and Jenna “are very much together” when the new season picks up two weeks after the events of last summer's finale, “their relationship is nothing if not complicated,” says Brett Davern. For starters, “Matty's still lurking around, so we're going to see how Jake deals with Matty. Does he find about Jenna and Matty, and how does he deal with that? It's really fun to get to explore where Jake goes not only in terms of his relationship with Jenna, but his relationship with Matty -- and how Matty feels towards Jake, too.”
MOST AWKWARD MOMENT | “There's some with Jenna dealing with how far to take their relationship, emotionally and physically,” reveals Davern. “Of course, we all remember Jake's famous be-hymen from last year. So he gets himself into a few more situations – not quite as intense as that, but definitely awkward.”
TEAM MATTY OR JAKE? | “I'm definitely Team Jake,” Davern declares. “Unless Matty gets his act together. As far as the audience is concerned with what they've seen so far, how can you not be Team Jake? Any guy who wants to keep her in the dark and make out with her behind the dumpster, what is that about? As far as I am in my life, that's not right. She's a lady. She should be treated like a lady. So if Jake's going to treat her like a lady, I'm going to be Team Jake. But if Matty gets his act together, I could flip-flop.”
