According to TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich, Meghan Ory who plays Ruby/Red Riding Hood has been promoted to series regular for season 2 of Once Upon a Time.

My thoughts: I couldn't be happier about Meghan Ory being promoted to series regular status for season 2 of Once Upon a Time. Ruby/Red Riding Hood was one/two (However you what to look at it) of my favorite recurring guest-star characters on the show in season 1. They've already featured Meghan Ory a lot on the show, so making her a series regular makes a lot of sense to me.
