According to TVLine's Kimberly Roots, Chevy Chase, who some people had previously been speculating might be leaving the show at the end of season 3 due to his heavily publicized problems with the creator of Dan Harmon, will indeed be returning for season 4 along with the rest of the cast. Here's an excerpt from the article:

Community creator and then-showrunner Dan Harmon might prompt him and the show to part ways. (We even included Pierce in our list of

Deadline reports that Chase will in fact join Joel McHale, Danny Pudi, Gillian Jacobs, Alison Brie, Yvette Nicole Brown, Donald Glover, Jim Rash and Ken Jeong for Season 4, with David Guarascio and Moses Port on board as the new showrunners and Harmon now in a consulting producer position.

Community Whole Cast Returning for Season 4 - TVLine
My thoughts: I'm so glad that Chevy Chase will be returning with the rest of the cast for season 4. I really think that each character brings something special to the show, and the show simply wouldn't be the same if one of the cast members were to leave the show.
