Criminal Minds: Scoop on the possibility of Candace Hammer and Jane Lynch returning in season 11 from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

http://criminalmindsfans.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/Reidy-Einstein.jpg

Here's some scoop on Criminal Minds from this week's (Posted on 8/24/15) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Will Einstein return on Criminal Minds? –Emilie
Ausiello: There are no plans at this time to bring back the forensics whiz (played by Aquarius‘ Candace Hammer) that Reid met in February — though Matthew Gray Gubler is currently “hopeful” that his brainiac lands a(ny) new girlfriend “in the future.” Alas, neither has the crime drama been able to follow through on its wish to revisit Reid’s mother, now that Hollywood Game Night host Jane Lynch also has a new comedy (Angel From Hell) on CBS’ fall chedule. As show boss Erica Messer laments: “We never seem able to get her!”

Criminal Minds: Reid related scoop and more on season 10 from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Criminal Minds from this week's (Posted on 6/3/14) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Is Spencer Reid going to get happiness in the new season of Criminal Minds (for example: a new love interest)? He really needs to catch a break for once. –Diana
Ausiello: I don’t know about any romantic developments, but if show boss Erica Messer has her way, we may witness happier days for Reid and his mother Diana, whose mental condition, it has been hinted, is improving. “I’ve been dying to revisit Jane Lynch’s character forever, and now that Glee’s going to be in its last season that might be more possible,” Messer told us. “She’s at the top of our list.” (Messer also confirmed that Reid’s portrayer, Matthew Gray Gubler, is locked in to direct the usual two episodes next season.)

Glee: Funny Girl related scoop and Sue related scoop from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich

Here's some scoop on Glee from this week's (Posted on 3/20/14) Matt's Inside Line column.

When will Funny Girl finally premiere on Glee? And any news about Sue and/or Schue relocating to NYC? –Colleen
When we spoke to Lea Michele at Tuesday night’s 100th-episode soiree, she shared, “We’re shooting [Funny Girl's] opening night right now, and a lot of the original cast members come back to see Rachel” – apparently Sue included. “I am shooting an episode now, and Sue is in New York,” Jane Lynch said. “I probably shouldn’t tell you how she gets there, but I will say that she falls in love and it’s a lot of fun. She does some ‘Sue’s Corner’s when she gets home, because she’s changed by New York.”

Criminal Minds: Scoop on the possibility of Jane Lynch returning to the show from TVGuide's Natalie Abrams

Here's some scoop on Criminal Minds from TVGuide's Natalie Abrams' Mega Buzz column, which was posted on 1/28/14.

Will Jane Lynch be back as Reid's mom on Criminal Minds— Justin
An episode later this season takes the team to Las Vegas, Reid's hometown, where he'll check up on his mom — but she's not at the Bennington Sanitarium. Don't worry, she's not missing. "Reid finds out where she is and how she's doing, and it's a nice little through-line to get an update on her without seeing her," executive producer Erica Messer says. The show is hoping to get Lynch back eventually, but probably not this season.

Glee: Sue related scoop from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

Here's some scoop on Glee from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat for Thursday 4/25/13.

GLEE

Aden: Can you give me Pretty Little Liars or Glee scoop?! Mostly PLL, I need a fix!
So Glee then? Well as you can see in the photo at the top of the story, Sue's plan to protect Becky will quickly unravel after Blaine becomes suspicious about the whole school shooting incident. But at least Sue found another job pretty quickly! "Sue is teaching aerobics at a 23 Hour Fitness. They need that extra hour to…I don't want to tell you what it is!" Jane Lynch laughs to us. "It's too dirty. It has something to do with the steam room, though." Let your imagination run wild with that. But if it were up to Lynch, Sue will be back and around for the rest of this season…and the next two! "I hope my throne will be restored. I hope to be back," she says.

Glee: Blaine, Cheerios and Sue related scoop from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich

Here's some scoop on Glee from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich's weekly column Matt's Inside Line for the week of 3/7/13.

What’s coming next for Glee‘s “Klaine”? –Basak
I can’t speak for Kurt‘s doings, but what if I told you that a familiar face will have Blaine flipping head over heels…? That’s right, Blaine is heading back to the Cheerios, as you may have heard. But you perhaps do not know why. “Sue’s trying to get him back on the Cheerios, because he was on the team for a hot minute there, so she blackmails him, basically,” Jane Lynch shares. That contentious set-up understandably leads to a duel of sorts ‘tween the two. But is it of the musical variety? “Maybe!” Lynch answered with a laugh.

Emmys Host Jane Lynch Teases Glee Cast Cameo, Reveals Three Things She Will Not Do-TVLine

Now less than three weeks out from this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards, host Jane Lynch on Tuesday was in the mist of pretaping a segment to be featured during Fox’s broadcast of the ceremony. When we expressed our wish for a “sequel” to the rousing, cameo-filled, Jimmy Fallon-led “Born to Run” number that opened the 2010 show, Lynch had to sadly burst our bubble.

“No, we didn’t try to follow up anything from last year,” she told TVLine during a press call to tout this years Emmycast. OK, so…? “I don’t want to tell you what [I'm pretaping]. It will spoil the surprise.”

What Lynch did reveal of the particular piece she was in the midst of shooting is A) it was written and directed by Jill Soloway (United Stated of Tara), and B) it does not feature any of her Glee cast mates. However, another, yet-to-be-shot segment likely will tap into the Fox series’ talented ranks, once Emmy producers hear back on who’s on board.

“I’ve pitched a couple of ideas for the Glee cast [to be involved],” Lynch shared. “So I bet there’ll be an appearance.”

Save for a delivery of flowers from Fallon, Lynch has not heard nor received tips from any previous Emmy hosts — not that she needs any. An improv queen, featured player in numerous Christopher Guest mockumentaries, and again nominated for an Emmy this year (for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy), she can be quick with the wit on the fly. Her first and foremost goal in overseeing the kudoscast is “to honor television and the people in it,” she says. “But when we get to do little bits of something fun and funny, I feel responsible for those, to keep them entertaining.
“I’d be lying if I didn’t say I want it to be ‘The Best Awards Show Ever,’” she adds with a chuckle. After all, “It’s such a coveted spot [hosting] the biggest evening in television, you want to do it justice.”

As for what viewers can expect the night of Sunday, Sept. 18, Lynch shared little, if only because details were still being hammered out. She hinted at a “unique” new way to tee up each of the four sections of the program — drama, comedy, reality-TV and movies/miniseries — and confessed that contrary to the stance she took just after landing the gig, “I will be changing my dress every time I come out.”

So instead, we asked Lynch for three things she definitely will not do as host. She thought for a moment, then offered: “I probably won’t wear a [Sue Sylvester] tracksuit; I probably won’t do an elaborate dance number; and I won’t bore you.”

And you have to believe her.
