The Blacklist: Scoop on Dianne Wiest's role from TVGuide's Natalie Abrams

Here's some scoop on The Blacklist from TVGuide's Natalie Abrams' Mega Buzz column, which was posted on 2/18/14.

I'm really enjoying The Blacklist. Any idea about what's coming up? — Nancy
So that upcoming episode featuring both Dianne Wiest and Lance Reddick is pretty much going to be off the hook. But NBC's description of Wiest's character as "kind and sympathetic" is not quite how I'd put it, particularly since she has a vendetta and will make Cooper pay for a past mistake. While she's fighting against capital punishment, she's not above using it herself.

The Blacklist: Tom and Jolene related scoop from TVGuide's Natalie Abrams

Here's some scoop on The Blacklist from TVGuide's Natalie Abrams' Mega Buzz column, which was posted on 2/11/14.

I'm excited for Lance Reddick on The Blacklist. Have any more scoop? — Jared
So that new assignment Red gives Reddick's character The Cowboy? Let's just say Jolene, the woman who's been getting a little too close to Tom, may not be such a mystery for much longer. She actually has a connection to another Blacklister who we've already met.

Fringe: Broyles related scoop on season 5 from Entertainment Weekly's Sandra Gonzalez

Here's some scoop on Fringe from Entertainment Weekly's Sandra Gonzalez's The Spoiler Room column, which was posted on 9/8/12.

‘FRINGE’ ACTOR LANCE REDDICK: ‘EVERY DAY IS A BATTLE’ FOR BROYLES

Not being among the Ambered comes with a price, according to Lance Reddick. And he’s not just talking about spending an extra two hours in the makeup trailer getting old age makeup applied. “For Broyles, every day is a struggle,” Reddick says of the weight on his character’s shoulders this season on Fringe.

From what we’ve seen in the intense promos for the final season, which is set in 2036, that assessment is not terribly surprising. A lot has happened to the world, including, of course, the Observer invasion, which — in the first few episodes, at least — will be shown in flashbacks that “really fill in the blanks.” “I’m excited about my character’s function plot-wise [this season],” he says.

But with only 13 episodes in this season, he can’t say much more. Not only is our time in this strange and unusual world precious, but the serialized elements of the show are unapologetically prominent this year — meaning no crimes-of-the-week to pad the season’s mythology. “We’re much more like a cable show this year — except with the swearing,” he jokes.
