Arrow: Felicity and Laurel related scoop, scoop on Manu Bennett's return and scoop on episode 3x10 "Left Behind" from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich

Here's some scoop on Arrow from this week's (Posted on 1/15/15) Matt's Inside Line column.

I read that there is going to be some interaction between Arrow‘s Felicity and Thea. Any idea how that will come about? –Emmy
You read that here in my column, in fact. But EP Marc Guggenheim tells TVLine that those scenes have since been “pushed off a bit” and will air later in the season. Still on the immediate horizon, however, is “Felicity having scenes with Laurel that are really terrific,” he shares. “As Felicity said in Episode 3 of this year, she didn’t even think they were friends, so it’s kind of fun to watch these two women who are so different from each other interact. Felicity’s got some words of wisdom to impart to Laurel, and has a perspective that is somewhat unique.”

Is Manu Bennett returning to Arrow in flashbacks, or for real? –D.L.
“Slade is definitely [resurfacing] in the present day,” showrunner Andrew Kreisberg affirms. And his disposition remains unchanged. “Not that he’s ever happy, but he’s particularly unhappy,” says the EP. “When he comes back, he’s out for blood.” Bonus scoop: Speaking of baddies, Vinnie Jones (who on Wednesday begins an arc as Danny “Brick” Brickwell) teased for me a fight scene in which a stunt woman jumped out a high window and grabbed a rope dangling from a helicopter above. Hmm, which character could that be?

Arrow: Scoop on Slade's return in episode 3x14 "The Return" from Entertainment Weekly's Natalie Abrams

Here's some scoop on Arrow from Entertainment Weekly's Natalie Abrams' The Spoiler Room column, which was posted on 12/19/14.

Please tell me anything about Slade’s return to Arrow! — Tim
Burning questions will be answered! “Everyone’s been asking: How does he feed himself?” executive producer Marc Guggenheim says. “You’re going to get an answer to that question. He loomed so large in season 2 that his return in episode 14 really makes it feel incredibly epic. You’ll see why it’s very appropriate for us to revisit Slade Wilson in episode 14 when you see the end of episode 13.”

Arrow: Scoop on Manu Bennett's future on the show and more on season 3 from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Arrow from this week's (Posted on 9/10/14) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: I’m not sure if Manu Bennett is a series regular for Arrow Season 3? Will we be seeing Slade at all? —Nasir
Ausiello: In the DC Comics universe, one should never say never, but no, Manu/Slade will not play a role in the early part of Season 3, at least.

Question: Do you have any insight as to who the Big Bad of season 3 of Arrow will be? —Michael
Ausiello: As revealed at Comic-Con, the Big Bad is this guy — the iconic DC Comics villain Ra’s al Ghul, just recently cast with Aussie Matt Nable. And though the League of Assassins leader is first seen in Episode 4, it will take a bit before he and Arrow butt heads, swords or what have you. “Before the winter break, which would be Episode 9, you’ll see some big stuff with him and Oliver,” promises EP Greg Berlanti.

Arrow: Slade and Joe related scoop from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Arrow from this week's (Posted on 3/11/14) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: I’m a big Arrow fan and was wondering if you could find something out for me. Doesn’t Slade Wilson have a son named Joe? Will we get to find out what happened to him? —Heather
Ausiello: Though Joe has only been alluded to on occasion on the CW series, Manu Bennett mentions that relationship when discussing why Slade took Shado’s death so hard. “You have to remember, Slade Wilson has also got an ex-partnership and a son out in the world there somewhere. And the son’s potentially got siblings in some scenario that hasn’t yet evolved into the storyline,” he says. “People have to think about more than the layers of what is being shown in each episode. They have to find clues in the DC Comics history, to maybe even piece together more of what Slade is festering upon.”

Arrow: Deathstroke related scoop on episode 1x13 "Betrayal" and scoop on the return of the Huntress from Entertainment Weekly's Sandra Gonzalez

Here's some scoop on Arrow from Entertainment Weekly's Sandra Gonzalez's The Spoiler Room column, which was posted on 1/22/13.

‘ARROW BOSS TEASES DEATHSTROKE’S RETURN
Arrow continues to surprise me, y’all. I’ve been a fan since the pilot, but I never could have foreseen how fast they’d jump into some of the heavier Green Arrow mythology. Color me pleased!

Also pleasing? The impending return of the Huntress and Deathstroke, who we saw donning a mask earlier this season. I got even more excited about the latter when speaking to executive producer Marc Guggenheim, who teased what we can expect when Manu Bennett (Spartacus) makes his first appearance in episode 13.

“One of the things we like to do on the show is use the comic book expectations to surprise people. So I will say that when Oliver meets Manu’s character, it’s a seismic change in the level of trust that Oliver does or does not feel on the island,” he teases. “And the connection with Deathstroke is probably not what people are expecting.”

Not enough to entice you? Guggenheim confirms that the Huntress and Dig will definitely not be the only ones to learn Oliver’s secret this season. “We’re wasting no time,” he says.
