The Good Doctor: Scoop on the possibility of Vera Farmiga appearing on the show and behind the scenes related scoop from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on The Good Doctor from this week's (Posted on 10/3/17) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: This Bates Motel fanatic would very much like to see Norman reunite with Norma on The Good Doctor. Any chance Vera Farmiga might pay Freddie Highmore a visit this season? — Charlotte
Ausiello: I suppose there’s always a chance, but I don’t believe there are any current plans for the dynamic duo to get back together. Can I interest you in a reunion between sworn enemies Norman and Romero? Because The Good Doctor is staging one of those, albeit behind the scenes: Sources confirm to me exclusively that actor/director Nestor Carbonell will helm an upcoming episode of ABC’s hit rookie doc drama.

Though the handsome and dearly departed Mike Shelby is no longer around, Norma will still have a deputy to deal with in season two. The A&E hit is currently looking to cast a new cop to assist Nestor Carbonell's Sheriff Romero: Patti Lin is ambitious, smart, eager and good at her job, which definitely means trouble for our favorite mother-son duo.
