Person of Interest: Scoop on the final two episodes of season 4 (Episode 4x21 "Asylum" and Episode 4x22 "YHWH") from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

http://wwwimage.cbsstatic.com/base/files/styles/596xh/public/105274_wb_0350b.jpg

Here's some scoop on Person of Interest from this week's (Posted on 4/14/15) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Any scoop or spoilers on Person of Interest? —Steph
Ausiello: Lucky for you, Matt Mitovich chatted up the cast at this week’s Paley Center for Media event. So for one, we’ve got Kevin Chapman teasing the April 28 episode (aka Part 1 of the season finale), in which the POIs are no less than Dominick and Elias: “Fusco gets himself into a situation that he almost doesn’t get out of!” As for the season-ender itself, Michael Emerson warns, “It ends on a note of, ‘They cannot survive.’ That it is impossible that this can go on.”

Person of Interest: Scoop on the season 3 finale (Episode 3x23 "Deus Ex Machina") from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich

Here's some scoop on Person of Interest from this week's (Posted on 4/24/14) Matt's Inside Line column.

Give me anything you have on Person of Interest. –Bradley
How about Amy Acker teasing the season finale? Agreeing with the producers’ assessment that it’s “a f—king giant hot mess,” she goes on to say, “They’ve done huge episodes throughout the season that on any other show I’ve been on would’ve been a season finale, so they just had to make it even bigger than that. And I think they succeeded. It’s really exciting, everything that happens. I was like, ‘Can’t you just give us the script for next season?!’”

Person of Interest: Scoop on the end of season 3 from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich

Here's some scoop on Person of Interest from this week's (Posted on 3/28/14) Matt's Inside Line column.

Will we see the mysterious enemy from Person of Interest who was on the phone with Finch at the end of “Last Call,” or is the rest of Season 3 pretty Samaritan War centric? –Nick
Sounds like the latter. “Oh, I’m certain he’ll resurface,” EP Greg Plageman said in response to your Q. “But whether we actually see him again this season… you will not.”

Person of Interest: Scoop on Nestor Carbonell's appearance on the show from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich

Here's some scoop on Person of Interest from this week's (Posted on 3/6/14) Matt's Inside Line column.

I’m dying to know more about Nestor Carbonell’s appearance on Person of Interest! Will we get any “Ben”/”Richard” scenes? –Karen
EP Jonah Nolan told me he’d been biding his time, hoping to grab Carbonell – with whom he worked on The Dark Knight Rises – and the role he wound up with sounds like a doozy. “He represents the first real serious challenge to Shaw — not in terms of a physical threat, but… she gets a little knock-kneed and tongue-tied around the guy.” Alas, Nolan reports, Carbonell’s appearance won’t afford him any scenes with fellow Lost alum Michael Emerson.

Person of Interest: Root and the Machine related scoop from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich

Here's some scoop on Person of Interest from this week's (Posted on 1/3/14) Matt's Inside Line column.

Root has been going on about how “something big is coming” in basically every episode of Person of Interest this season. Is it to do with the double machines and Control, or is it something else entirely? –Bradley
EP Greg Plageman hinted at the “big” threat in our Winter Preview special. And when I ran the question by Michael Emerson, he claimed to be unsure of Root’s meaning, “but that line from her made my hair stand on end, because she clearly knows things that we don’t know,” the actor said. “She’s a confidante in the Machine in a way that no one else is, so I’m sure Mr Finch lays awake at night wondering what the heck she meant.” Might Team Machine see some value in what Root has to offer, as they brave this greater fight? “Mr. Finch is warming to her, a bit,” Emerson allowed. “She’s proven certain things, and it’s not all bad. But it’s all crazy.’

Person of Interest: Scoop on episode 3x12 "Aletheia" from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich

Here's some scoop on Person of Interest from this week's (Posted on 12/19/13) Matt's Inside Line column.

This week’s Person of Interest was incredible. Do you have any spoilers on where we go next with the Control storyline? –Bradley
Careful now, because where the show is heading next involves much more than Control. Or Vigilance. Because in addition to those two shady organizations, another adversary will surface in Episode 12. As EP Jonah Nolan explains with a wicked laugh, “We like things to be as messy as possible!”

Person of Interest: Scoop on the possibility of Finch being reunited with Grace from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich

Here's some scoop on Person of Interest from this week's (Posted on 12/5/13) Matt's Inside Line column.

Will we ever see Finch reunite with his love on Person of Interest? Will Grace at least find out why he had to leave, since they obviously still love each other? –Norma
Carrie Preston, who pops up now and again as her real-life husband’s TV soulmate, agrees with you, saying, “It would be really wonderful to have Harold and Grace meet up in the present day. He’s protecting her by not letting her know, but maybe there could be some way for him to let her know that he is OK. It would be nice to see Harold have that love in his life.” That said, between carefully portioned Good Wife encores and her No. 1 True Blood commitment, there are no plans for a POI return at this time.

Person of Interest: Scoop on the possibility of Taraji P. Henson returning in flashbacks from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich

Here's some scoop on Person of Interest from this week's (Posted on 11/22/13) Matt's Inside Line column.

I’m confused — I watched the Person of Interest episode where Carter was shot and looked to be dead! Now I’m reading in the entertainment section and they are talking as if she’s alive?! Alive or dead? –Robert
Um, I’d seriously reconsider your bookmark of said “entertainment section.” As if my Q&As with the EPs and Taraji P. Henson didn’t make it clear, Carter is truly and sincerely dead – though she could live on in “new” flashbacks, as POI is known to do. And Henson is all for it. “I love Carter, so I’m interested to see what they could come up with. I would love to return for a flashback. Absolutely.”

Person of Interest: Reese related scoop on the aftermath of Carter's death and more from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

Here's some scoop on Person of Interest from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat column, which was posted on 11/22/13.

Vic: Still can't get over Joss Carter's death on Person of Interest!! Dare I ask what's next?
Business as usual. Because the show (and the fight for justice) must go on. Of course her death will affect Reese and the rest of the gang in the next couple of episodes, but not in the way you might think. And there are still wacky criminals to chase down, like one in an upcoming episode who uses her former Olympic training to steal things that not many other criminals could. And Carter fans, dry those eyes. We bet our bottom dollar that she returns via flashbacks.

Here's a promo for next week's episode, episode 3x10 "The Devil's Share". It looks like this is going to be a really good episode.

Person of Interest: Scoop on episode 3x09 "The Crossing" from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Person of Interest from this week's (Posted on 11/19/13) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: You are a person of great interest and I would like to know if your Blind Item is about Person of Interest? —Aaron
Ausiello: I see what you did there and I’m mildly amused by it. No, the actor getting killed off POI this week is not the subject of my Blind Item. But while we’re on the subject, Carrie Preston — who recurs on the CBS drama and is married to its star, Michael Emerson — warns viewers to stock up on the Puffs Plus. “It will be very sad,” she confirms of [SPOILER'S] swan song. “It’s going to be sad for everybody — not just the fans but also the cast. But I think the way [the show] is handling it is quite remarkable.”

Question: This week’s Person of Interest looks nuts. Any scoop? —Joel

Person of Interest: Shaw related scoop on season 3 from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Person of Interest from this week's (Posted on 8/27/13) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Since Person of Interest announced that Sarah Shahi would be a series regular, social media has been lit up by passionate fans who either love or hate her character, Sam Shaw. Are they sticking by their choice? —Casey
Ausiello: Absolutely — and the thing to keep in mind is that as a result, Shaw isn’t now some full-time member of Finch’s team. As showrunner Greg Plageman explained to Matt Mitovich as part of our Fall Preview Spectacular, Shaw’s betrayal by her own government “informed her opinion about belonging to anything or giving allegiance to anyone right now.” And as such, “She helps us out only when she feels like it.”

Person of Interest: Finch and The Machine related scoop on season 3 from TVGuide's Adam Bryant and Natalie Abrams

Here's some scoop on Person of Interest from TVGuide's Adam Bryant and Natalie Abrams' Mega Buzz column, which was posted on 8/13/13.

Any teases about the new season of Person of Interest? Will Reese and Finch still be working together now that the Machine is out of their control? — Ben L.
ADAM:
Yes. "The Machine is now in charge of itself, but it still has an almost familial obligation to Finch," executive producer Jonathan Nolan tells us. "It's still honoring the terms of the relationship that Finch built into it." But Finch will definitely not be calling the shots. "It's a growing organism that is evolving, perhaps beyond the scale of his understanding," says executive producer Greg Plageman. Adds Nolan: "A lot of people had plans for the Machine the past two seasons. This season, the question is: What are the machine's plans for us?"
