Question: Have you heard anything yet about how Abby is leaving NCIS? —Jane
Ausiello: Only that leading up to the end of her 15-season run, Pauley Perrette has aimed to scatter Easter eggs for longtime fans to find. “Her approach to [leaving] is to have fun with this,” Rocky Carroll told Matt Mitovich. “What she has been doing for her fans is make sprinkle in callbacks, certain Abby-isms, these little treats that the diehard NCIS fans will recognize. It’s her ‘farewell’ card to the audience, where people will see it and go, ‘Oh my god, that’s from Season 2, when this happened with Tony’ or ‘when this happened with Kate.’ She’s trying to take you on this treasure hunt, where every time you’re watching one of her scenes there’s a throwback to a previous season.”

NCIS: Vance related scooop on episode 10x18 "Seek" from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich

Here's some scoop on NCIS from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich's weekly column Matt's Inside Line for the week of 3/14/13. 

NCIS | On the short-term spoiler front, I’ve got Pauley Perrette teasing a bit of high drama on March 19, when the NCIS team swings into action to… help Vance hire a nanny for his kids. “But Vance is such an independent person that all the help from the crew is not making him happy,” the actress says of the Michael Weatherly-directed episode. “He’s kind of like, ‘I love you, but leave me alone!’” Now, looking in the general direction of the Season 10 finale, show boss Gary Glasberg has been telling his cast, “‘The last half of this season is going to be unlike any season’ — and I’m not sure what that means, to be honest,” Brian Dietzen reports. “All of us are on pins and needles, like, ‘What are we going to do? What does that really mean?’ But he’s not giving anything away!”

None that immediately popped into Pauley Perrette’s mind when we caught up with her at the Grammy Awards this weekend. But it’s on her wishlist, as is this request: “We have never seen her house and I would love to take an episode there because I think they’d have so much fun building that set,” she says. “I think her house would look exactly like my makeup guy Tony’s house. I videotaped his house for reference if they ever need it. It is all very velvety and there’s weird old medical equipment hanging around and doll that he makes. I always love the chance to learn more about Abby.”
