Here's some scoop on NCIS from Entertainment Weekly's Natalie Abrams' The Spoiler Room column, which was posted on 4/22/16.

I need some clues, hints, etc. about how Tony will leave NCIS. Pretty please! — Marla
What you really want to know is whether they’re going to kill Tony off. “In the world of NCIS, nothing is absurd,” executive producer Gary Glasberg says. “I think the fact that Michael [Weatherly] is in the finale tells whether he takes a bullet in it or not. But we are not afraid of doing the unexpected and some of that certainly comes into play in this episode. I think it’s fair to say people should watch!”

Here's some scoop on NCIS from this week's (Posted on 4/5/16) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: I know you have probably been asked this a thousand times already, but, any word yet on whether Cote de Pablo will make an actual appearance in Michael Weatherly’s last episode of NCIS, and not just in a flashback? —Jennifer
Ausiello: Not happening. Move along now. There’s nothing to see here.

Here's some scoop on NCIS: LA from Entertainment Weekly's Natalie Abrams' The Spoiler Room column, which was posted on 9/4/15.

Is there anything you can tease about the NCIS-NCIS: LA crossover? — Harold
Slated to air Monday, Oct. 19, Tony DiNozzo’s trip to Los Angeles will be quite comedic, according to Michael Weatherly. “There’s a hilarious conceit for my presence which is that this guy who is a witness to some scurrilous wrongdoing is being brought back from Singapore,” the actor tells me. “He disappears and we have to find him in L.A. He keeps disappearing.”

NCIS: LA: Scoop on Michael Weatherly's appearance on the show in season 7 from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich

http://images.enstarz.com/data/images/full/40267/ncis.jpg?w=580

Here's some scoop on NCIS: LA from this week's (Posted on 8/31/15) Matt's Inside Line column.

Got any scoop on Michael Weatherly’s NCIS: LA appearance you feel like sharing? –Michelle
NCIS: LA boss Shane Brennan says that Weatherly’s crossover visit fuels one of the spinoff’s “Top 5” episodes ever, triggered by “a classic DiNozzo moment in which he’s in Los Angeles to pick someone up from an airplane and, goodness me, they’re not there. He’s about to be in serious trouble with his superiors, so he needs the help of our team in L.A. to find the person he was supposed to pick up.” Sharing moments with Hetty, Deeks, Sam et al, Weatherly’s scenes are “amazing,” Eric Christian Olsen raves. “He’s such a gifted actor, so good with comedy and drama,” perhaps no more so than when paired with Deeks. “I am his spirit animal. He is my spirit animal,” Olsen declares. “One of us is one of us’ spirit animal.”

Scoop on the season 13 premiere of NCIS, the season 2 premiere of NCIS: New Orleans and scoop on season 7 of NCIS: LA from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich

https://fandomwanderers.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/ncis_title.jpg

Here's some scoop on NCIS, NCIS: LA and NCIS: New Orleans from this week's (Posted on 7/27/15) Matt's Inside Line column.

Have The Powers That Be at NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans clued you in on what their respective season premiere episodes are entitled? –Caitlin
No, but thanks for the reminder to ask! Airing Tuesday, Sept. 22, NCIS‘ season opener is titled (gulp) “Stop the Bleeding,” while NCIS: New Orleans will follow with “Sic Semper Tyrannis” – which, and I may be wrong, sounds like an awesome Jurassic World riff! What, no? (To complete the hat trick, I can tell you that NCIS: LA‘s Sept. 21 premiere is titled “Active Measures.”)

If possible, could you retrieve any teases for Season 7 of NCIS: LA? – Tony
Funny your name there, because I am hearing that NCIS fave Michael Weatherly’s crossover, currently penciled in for October, is quite hilarious. Said simply: DiNozzo + Deeks = LOLOLOLOL.

NCIS: Scoop on a new love interest for Tony in season 12 from TVGuide's Natalie Abrams

Here's some scoop on NCIS from TVGuide's Natalie Abrams' Mega Buzz column, which was posted on 7/22/14.

What can you tell me about the new season of NCIS? — Katie
Though the show seems to tease as much every season, DiNozzo is definitely getting a new love interest this year. "It's going to happen early on, probably around Episode 4," executive producer Gary Glasberg promises, noting that the pair will meet through a case Tony is working. And it sounds like he might finally be ready for a serious relationship post-Ziva. "I think he's moved past being the wounded bird," Michael Weatherly says. "[Last year,] we decided to whip that guy into shape and get him excited about the future and not holding on to the past. Tony is making choices that are not passive. He's not content to sit on the side and cash his check until it's time to retire. I think he's going to have more fun than he's ever had."

NCIS: Scoop on the future of Tony's love life in season 12 from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich

Here's some scoop on NCIS from this week's (Posted on 7/18/14) Matt's Inside Line column.

With Michael Weatherly having gotten in such good shape this summer for his triathlon, will this be addressed for NCIS‘ DiNozzo? –Joni
The actor’s lean, mean physique apparently will help Tony’s game. Show boss Gary Glasberg tells us he’s in the “formative stages” of crafting a new love interest for Tony, someone that NCIS’ most eligible agent (G Callen excepted) will meet through a case. “It’s time for Tony to continue to grow a little bit,” says Glasberg. “He went through a lot last year emotionally and tried to deal with Ziva’s departure as he could. And it’s time” for someone new. “We’ll be mature about it and handle it properly, and Michael’s excited about it.”

NCIS: Tony related scoop on episode 11x23 "The Admiral's Daughter" from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on NCIS from this week's (Posted on 4/30/14) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Any scoop on NCIS‘ Tony-centric episode? — Mary Kate
Ausiello: The season’s penultimate hour is no less than Michael Weatherly’s “favorite episode in a long time, one where I got to do some other things,” the actor told Matt Mitovich during a extended Q&A that will post next week. As DiNozzo escorts an admiral’s daughter (played by Boardwalk Empire alum Meg Chambers Steedle) from Marseilles, France, to the States, Weatherly promises, “Charade-style fun — sort of like Cary Grant and Audrey Hepbrun on the run.”

NCIS: Tony related scoop, scoop on the 250th episode, scoop on the spin-off and more from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich

Here's some scoop on NCIS from this week's (Posted on 12/13/13) Matt's Inside Line column.

Anything interesting coming up for DiNozzo on NCIS? –Mel
Fielding your query, show boss Gary Glasberg says, “Tony has had a year of real change and growth so far. Ziva said goodbye. Bishop said hello. Tony’s friendship with McGee got stronger and his bond with Gibbs wasn’t weakened by change, it was reinforced. And now, for a special 250th episode, Anthony DiNozzo Sr. (returning guest star Robert Wagner) will be back. And along with a riveting crime to solve, Tony will discover there’s a new mystery woman in his father’s life.”

NCIS‘ Michael Weatherly tweeted a while back that he was directing an episode this month. Do you have any spoilers/scoops about it? –Marla
As it would turn out, the operative words here are “a while back.” Says Gary Glasberg, “We were planning on that, but we decided to postpone it,” so that Weatherly and his wife could instead spend some quality time with their brand-new son Liam, born on Oct. 29. Weatherly’s next turn behind the camera is thus being rescheduled.

Great suggestions for NCIS: New Orleans actors. Tom Welling would be perfect as Agent LaSalle, and he needs to be back on TV. Is this a possibility? –Patricia
All I can confirm is that spin-off creator Gary Glasberg indeed saw my list of casting suggestions and, I quote, “enjoyed” it. So… I await my 10 percent?

NCIS: Tony and Vance related scoop from Entertainment Weekly's Sandra Gonzalez

Here's some scoop on NCIS from Entertainment Weekly's Sandra Gonzalez's The Spoiler Room column, which was posted on 11/5/13.

Any new NCIS scoop? What’s in store for my favorite special agent DiNozzo? I love that the show still acknowledges Ziva’s absence and I hope it doesn’t disappear completely as I’m not ready to move on. — Cheryl
It won’t. 1) Michael Weatherly seems to be enjoying having so much to sink his teeth into. 2) EP Gary Glasberg says it won’t. And 3) Nos. 1 and 2 are enough. “We’re letting the character continue on this natural path of dealing with the ups and downs of Ziva’s absence,” says Glasberg. “Those ups and downs will continue. Slowly but surely — just as in the real world — he’s getting refocused and getting his life together. He’s figuring things out.”

NCIS scoop! Where was Vance last week?! — Terri
Don’t worry, he’s around. And look for him to have a huge storyline in a December episode that will [SCOOP!] guest-star BEN VEREEN as a relative of the late Jackie Vance. “Vance and his kids have to get through the holidays with all the emotion that comes with it, and part of it is to introduce this character and the interaction that Vereen’s character will have with Vance,” says Glasberg.

NCIS: Scoop on the aftermath of Cote de Pablo/Ziva's exit from the show from Entertainment Weekly's Sandra Gonzalez

Here's some scoop on NCIS from Entertainment Weekly's Sandra Gonzalez's The Spoiler Room column, which was posted on 9/27/13.

‘NCIS’: MICHAEL WEATHERLY ON HOW TONY COPES WITH ZIVA’S DEPARTURE
NCIS fans may be waiting eagerly/nervously/anxiously for next week’s farewell to Ziva episode, but while the wound of Ziva’s departure is going to be very fresh after next Tuesday, over at the set, they’ve had a few episodes to deal with the shock and are looking toward the future with high hopes. Especially Michael Weatherly, who opened up to me about the upcoming addition of Emily Wickersham as a new agent named Bishop. “We’re excited about is having Emily join us on these little adventures we do every week and seeing how she is in the world that we create together,” he says. “I hope the audience likes her as much as we did right away.”

But to those who are worried about a possible romance between the two, Weatherly assures that’s probably the last thing on Tony’s mind. “I don’t think there’s any chance of Bishop being involved in that in any way. If anything, she would be deeply, deeply off-limits for him,” he says with a chuckle. “It won’t even enter his brain — and that’s another thing. I think she’s going to be very attractive, but I just don’t think DiNozzo will see her like that for even a heartbeat. I think there’s a level of maturity for him. He’s averse to anyone who would sit at that desk, I think.“

Weatherly sees Tony’s maturity shining through in other ways, too, he says, particularly when it comes to the character’s attention-seeking ways. “Here’s a funny thing I’ve discovered: when it’s just McGee, DiNozzo and Gibbs in the squad room, DiNozzo doesn’t really have anyone to perform for,” he says. “Tony just kind of calms down and does his job.” That said, there’s still fun to be had. Proof? There’s a headslap coming. And while Weatherly wouldn’t elaborate, he did call it “a classic moment.”

NCIS: Scoop on Cote de Pablo/Ziva's exit, Tony related scoop and casting related scoop on season 11 from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich

Here's some scoop on NCIS from this week's (Posted on 8/1/13) Matt's Inside Line column.

On NCIS, do you think “Tiva” will be together in the end? Or do you think it’ll be a kiss and then she leaves? I don’t think I could handle a depressed Tony if they weren’t together. –Samantha
Michael Weatherly hears your concern, and shares his own hope that Cote de Pablo’s double-episode send-off “is as cathartic and therapeutic for the fans as it was for me shooting it.” As for the oft-promised “appropriate closure,” this is all DiNozzo’s portrayer would tease: “When you want something for so long, and you want and you want and you want, and it almost gets warped because you’ve wanted it for maybe longer than anybody should ever want anything, and it’s sitting five feet from you in an office…. When that is dealt with, a dam breaks and it creates a fresh new and most importantly dynamic element to the show. That eight-year ‘holding pattern’ will be dealt with, but more important than that is what happens next. Where does Tony go after that? And [the answer to that] is the most exciting thing I’ve heard in a long time.”

I am looking for a job and I am a huge fan of NCIS. Can I take Ziva’s job? It looks like fun and I sure need that in my life! –Cheryl
Sure, just get behind the 50-year-old lady who’s at the head of the line of candidates.

I would like these ladies to take Ziva’s place: Kate Beckinsale and Milla Jovovich. –Clinton
What, no love for Cheryl above…?

NCIS: Vance related scooop on episode 10x18 "Seek" from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich

Here's some scoop on NCIS from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich's weekly column Matt's Inside Line for the week of 3/14/13.

NCIS | On the short-term spoiler front, I’ve got Pauley Perrette teasing a bit of high drama on March 19, when the NCIS team swings into action to… help Vance hire a nanny for his kids. “But Vance is such an independent person that all the help from the crew is not making him happy,” the actress says of the Michael Weatherly-directed episode. “He’s kind of like, ‘I love you, but leave me alone!’” Now, looking in the general direction of the Season 10 finale, show boss Gary Glasberg has been telling his cast, “‘The last half of this season is going to be unlike any season’ — and I’m not sure what that means, to be honest,” Brian Dietzen reports. “All of us are on pins and needles, like, ‘What are we going to do? What does that really mean?’ But he’s not giving anything away!”

NCIS: McGee related scoop on season 10 from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich

Here's some scoop on NCIS from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich's weekly column Matt's Inside Line for the week of 9/14/12.

NCIS | Dipping into the mailbag, one reader notes, “In all the NCIS photos and promos there’s no sign of very special agent McGee. I know [Sean Murray] is signed on for another two years but I’m starting to get worried…. Anything, please, please, please.” Who says that McGee survives the explosion? How do we know he even makes it out of last season’s finale alive?? Oh, right – Michael Weatherly told us so. Grr, so much for my devious effort to play with y’all. So… [Spoiler alert] …yes, McGee lives, “and we’ve got some fun stuff coming up,” show boss Gary Glasberg assures me. For one, don’t miss a reference in the season premiere to a relative of Tim’s, whom we just might meet. “It won’t happen until the latter part of the season, but I think we’re going to get into a little more of the McGee family,” Glasberg teases. “We’ll scratch a little deeper [with that character], absolutely.”

Major Crimes: Casts Michael Weatherly in season 1-TVLine

According to TVLine's Michael Ausiello, Michael Weatherly will be guest-starring in a season 1 episode of The Closer's spinoff Major Crimes. Here's an excerpt from the article, which gives some details on Weatherly's role:

The NCIS vet will appear in an early Season 1 episode as Arthur “Thorn” Woodson, a charming con artist who currently works as an ”intuitive life strategist” for a group of Israeli mob wives (all of whom he is bedding). Described as a “Peter Pan with an A.D.D. problem,” Thorn previously held down jobs as a hand model, a ventriloquist and a black jack dealer. His dream is to someday land his own show on Oprah Winfrey’s fledgling cable net OWN.

“Arvin Brown is directing [the episode] — he’s done many NCIS episodes,” Weatherly tweeted of the gig.

Major Crimes is set to premiere on Monday, Aug. 13 at 10/9c immediately following the series finale of The Closer.

The article also included the following up date on Michael Weatherly's contract negotiations with NCIS:

The news comes as Weatherly continues to negotiate a new contract to continue playing Tony on NCIS. His current deal expired at the end of the just-wrapped ninth season. (His co-stars, Pauley Perrette and Sean Murray, are also hammering out new pacts.)

Earlier this month, NCIS exec producer Gary Glasberg expressed confidence that “it will all work out.”
