Hot in Cleveland Casts Ryan McPartlin in Season 3-TVLine

Ryan McPartlin has lined up his first post-Chuck gig.

The genetically blessed actor has booked a guest stint on Hot in Cleveland, TVLine has learned exclusively.

The actor will appear in an upcoming Season 3 episode that also marks the return of Susan Lucci. (The soap queen will once again be channeling a heightened version of herself.)

It’s unclear who McPartlin will be playing, but I’m told his character will cross paths with Lucci.

Cleveland‘s third season kicks off tonight on TV Land. Chuck, meanwhile, is set to wrap production on its last episode ever next week.

I Hate My Teenage Daughter Casts Chuck Vet Ryan McPartlin-TVLine

Captain Awesome is bringing the love to I Hate My Teenage Daughter.

TVLine has learned exclusively that Chuck vet Ryan McPartlin has landed a guest spot on Fox’s new fall comedy as a “hot dad” who shares an instant attraction with Jaime Pressly’s Annie. A possible love connection between the two, however, is quickly thwarted when he witnesses first-hand the overbearing, overprotective parenting methods Annie uses with daughter Sophie (Kristi Lauren).

McPartlin — who will return for the fifth and final cycle of NBC’s Chuck, premiering Oct. 21 — is set to appear in the second episode of Teenage Daughter’s debut season.

Also dropping by the freshman Fox comedy this fall is Pretty Little Liars‘ Keegan Allen. E! Online reports that the Rosewood resident will play a frat boy who gets his flirt on with Annie’s BFF, played by Katie Finneran.

I Hate My Teenage Daughter launches Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 9:30/8:30c.
