Here's some scoop on Once Upon a Time from this week's (Posted on 10/14/14) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Before the first half of Once Upon a Time‘s season ends, will we find out who wrote the storybook? —Tom
Ausiello: Actually, no. As cocreator Eddy Kitsis revealed to Matt Mitovich at the New York Comic-Con panel this past weekend, Regina and Henry’s “Operation Mongoose is going to be a rather big story for the year. Whereas we are splitting seasons in half, this is a story that will transcend both halves.”

Question: If Maleficent is heading back to Once Upon a Time, does that mean we’ll see Aurora and Prince Phillip too? —B.D.
Ausiello: Oh, you’ll see Sleeping Beauty well before Maleficent’s midseason encore. When we recently chatted up Sarah Bolger, she was already heading back to shoot her second episode of the season, but we’ll first see Aurora in Episode 7, now “out of her princess gear” in Storybrooke. As for Phillip, Julian Morris is currently busy with New Girl, to be followed by Amazon’s Hand of God, but Bolger trusts, “I’m sure he will be [back],” in some capacity.

Once Upon a Time: Scoop on the future of Storybrooke and more on season 3 from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich

Here's some scoop on Once Upon a Time from TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich's weekly column Matt's Inside Line for the week of 6/13/13.

Does Once Upon a Time plan on telling the current stories of the characters in Storybrooke, or will Season 3 focus on Neverland and the Enchanted Forest? –Ellie
In case my previous scoopage on this subject did not reassure you that, as the headline said, “Storybrooke will not be forgotten,” I just confirmed that Emilie de Ravin is still a series regular for Season 3. Thus, it sounds like Belle will certainly have Maine events of her own to deal with back home.

Will Once Upon a Time explain how Mulan and Aurora helped Phillip get his soul back from the wraith? –JJ
Series cocreator Adam Horowitz confirms that yes, that burning question will be addressed during Season 3 — and likely on the sooner side, I reckon, since Jamie Chung and Sarah Bolger have midseason pilots (NBC’s Believe, ABC’s Mixology) to get to!

Once Upon a Time: Sarah Bolger Cast as Princess Aurora in Season 2-TVLine

According to TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich, Sarah Bolger has been cast in the recurring guest-star role of Princess Aurora A.K.A. Sleeping Beauty for season 2 of Once Upon a Time. Here's an excerpt from the article, which gives some scoop on Bolger's role:



Given Aurora’s backstory — namely, how she was cursed by Maleficent to die (or thanks to a fairy guardian, only fall into a very deep sleep) from a finger prick on a spinning wheel — one has to wonder if we have not seen the last of True Blood‘s Kristin Bauer van Straten in the fairytale land that was.

My thoughts: I'm not familiar with Sarah Bolger as an actress, but I'm really excited to see how the writers of Once Upon a Time incorporate the story of Sleeping Beauty into the show. The writers have done a great job so far of taking characters from various fairy tales and putting their own unique spin on them.
