After chatting with Titus Welliver about his Amazon series Bosch, I sought the 411 on his role in The Last Ship’s final two episodes. “He’s a former military/law enforcement guy who’s trying to secure areas on land from the pandemic, and things are not what they seem with this character,” he shared. “What appears to be obvious is not so.” Fun fact: The TNT drama drop-by reunited the erstwhile Man in Black with Lost director Jack Bender, “which was a great treat,” he said.

Though she wouldn't confirm or deny my theory that the Clairvoyant is someone we already know, executive producer Maurissa Tancharoen promises the reveal is coming very soon. How soon? Well, the April 1 episode — which features the returns of Agents Hand (Saffron Burrows), Garrett (Bill Paxton), Sitwell (Maximiliano Hernández) and Blake (Titus Welliver) — is shaping up to be pretty super. I hear one of the returning faces is harboring a big secret and another will wind up on the wrong end of a battle with Deathlok.

EP Jeph Loeb told me that when Titus Welliver reprises his role as Agent Blake, there “absolutely” will be a nod to his storyline from the Marvel short film Item 47. After all, “He lived in a world in which Mr. Coulson was dead,” Loeb notes. “And that will certainly play a part in his visit.”

Grimm Casts Titus Welliver in Season 1-TVLine

Lost‘s Man in Black is adding a little color to Grimm.

Titus Welliver has signed on to guest star in an upcoming episode of NBC’s fairytale thriller, TVLine has learned exclusively.

The in-demand actor — who kicks off a recurring stint on CSI this Wednesday — will play Farley Holt, a Grimm creature who has the ability to morph into a steinadler.

Coolly unflappable, even when being interrogated by Nick (David Giuntoli), Farley explains to Nick the history behind a cache of gold coins that seem to exert an uncanny hold over whoever takes possession of them.

News of Welliver’s casting comes the same week fellow Lostie Daniel Roebuck makes his Grimm debut as Lt. Orson, an officer in the Portland arson division who is investigating a series of suspicious fires with links to Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell).
