The Flash: Scoop on Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell's involvement with the show from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

The Flash, Wentworth Miller

Here's some scoop on The Flash from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat column, which was posted on 1/13/15.

Becky: I cannot wait to see my favorite fictional brothers Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell reunited on The Flash, so I'll take any scoop you are willing to share!
We've got good news as the Scofield brothers will be stirring up trouble as Captain Cold (Miller) and Heatwave (Purcell) on the CW series for more than one episode. "Everyone's very happy with what we're doing. We're excited and the fact that Wentworth and I are in the show," Dominic Purcell tells us. "I know that we will be in the finale. Maybe a few more before that. The possibility for us to keep coming back and forth is high." Sounds like we're heading for a huge villain takeover and we. Can't. Wait.

The Flash: Cisco related scoop from Entertainment Weekly's Natalie Abrams

Here's some scoop on The Flash from Entertainment Weekly's Natalie Abrams' The Spoiler Room column, which was posted on 10/24/14.

Why the heck would Cisco build a cold gun that could kill the Flash? — Brittany
“He created it as a precaution,” Carlos Valdes says, seemingly hinting that at least Cisco, if not the whole team, may have been worried about the extent of Barry’s powers. But when the gun falls into the hands of Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Cisco will learn a pretty valuable lesson. “Cisco has this trajectory of growth,” he says. “Part of that growth involves his coming to terms with responsibility and what it means to be a hero and what it means to accept responsibility for the things that you’ve done. That episode is very important for Cisco in terms of learning the lessons of responsibility, especially when it comes to the people that he loves and the people that he cares about.”

The Flash: Captain Cold related scoop from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Flash

Here's some scoop on The Flash from this week's (Posted on 10/7/14) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Got any new information on Captain Cold’s (Wentworth Miller) role on The Flash, beyond his first episode on Oct. 28? —Andy B
Ausiello: DC Comics’ CCO Geoff Johns says the producers “look at Heat a lot, with [Robert] De Niro” for inspiration on Miller’s villain (pictured, below). “He is this guy who pulls jobs very carefully, and, suddenly, [The Flash turns up] and he has to change his game,” Johns explains. “He has to figure out how to deal with this new threat in Central City to his way of life. It’s all about him evolving and surviving the new world order. Guns aren’t going to do it, so he’s got to have something a little bit stronger.” Adds executive producer Andrew Kreisberg: “He’s not the villain that we see in the comics yet. [But] we’re going to get there.”

House Exclusive: Wentworth Miller Check In!-TVLine

Prison Break‘s Wentworth Miller has booked a guest stint on House, but the iconic TV convict will (sadly) not be rubbing elbows with Hugh Laurie’s titular doc behind bars.

House creator David Shore tells TVLine exclusively that Wentworth will appear as a patient of the week in an episode that takes place after Dr. Crankypants gets sprung from jail.

“He plays a real altruist,” says Shore. “And there’s some question as to whether that’s his symptom or not.”

Save for a 2009 guest stint on Law & Order: SVU, Miller has kept a relatively low TV profile since wrapping up his Prison stint more than two years ago. His House episode is slated to air in late October.

House kicks off its eighth and possibly final season on Monday, Oct. 3.
