Parks and Recreation: Scoop on Chris Pratt's return to the show from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Parks and Recreation from this week's (Posted on 11/12/13) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Is Chris Pratt coming back to Parks and Recreation soon? I miss Andy. —Sam
Ausiello: He’s officially back in the show’s 100th episode on Jan. 9  — but don’t expect much from him out of the gate. Producers opted to ease Pratt (who was off in London shooting Guardians of the Galaxy) back into the show — much to the actor’s relief. “They thought, ‘What’s the best way to [reintroduce] Chris, who’s coming home Tuesday at midnight and goes back to work at 6 am on Wednesday?’ And they said, ‘Let’s just make him really tired.’ How very thoughtful of them to write that in,” Pratt tells us. “So, there’s an episode where Andy just has jet lag the whole [time]. He can’t get on his schedule, so halfway through conversations he falls asleep. Easiest work I’ve ever done.”

Parks and Recreation: Scoop on the possibility of April and Andy having a baby from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos

Here's some scoop on Parks and Recreation from Kristin Dos Santos' Spoiler Chat column, which was posted on 10/23/13.

Tessa: So pissed that NBC is bumping Parks and Rec! Can I get scoop to help me get through this difficult time?
We're optimist (sometimes) so we're going to go ahead and assume that everything will be fine and Parks and Rec will return with the highest ratings ever because people will miss it so much. Anyway, creator Mike Schur told us that we will find out the result of the recall vote very soon, and based on the new Parks schedule, it should be revealed before the show goes on hiatus until January. They are definitely not dragging it out for the entire season. We also asked Aubrey Plaza and Chris Pratt about the possibility of Andy and April finding having a baby, and not only were they way into that idea, but they even had some knowing smiles on their faces while talking about it. Take that with a grain of salt, or run with it and just assume and Andy-April offspring is coming! Your choice.

Parks and Recreation: Ron, Diane and Andy related scoop on the season 6 premiere and scoop on Rob Lowe and Rashida Jones' exit from the show from Entertainment Weekly's Sandra Gonzalez

Here's some scoop on Parks and Recreation from Entertainment Weekly's Sandra Gonzalez's The Spoiler Room column, which was posted on 8/16/13.

Any Parks scoop? How is Ron going to react to being a dad? — Laura
You’ll actually find out right away because the premiere picks up right where the show left off in the finale. Mike Schur previews: “He’s not at all freaked out. He’s nothing but excited or happy.” Meanwhile, as we’ve reported, Lucy Lawless will return in the season premiere but how often she pops up after that remains in the air. “She literally has to fly 19 hours to do one hour of our show so we have to be a little strategic about it,” Schur shares. “But obviously she’s going to be the mother of Ron’s child so we want her to be a real presence in the show.”

How is Parks going to deal with Chris Pratt filming Guardians? How often are we going to see him. We can’t lose Andy AND Chris and Ann!!! — Lisa
He is in the premiere, but after that, the show will indeed have to deal with Andy’s absence. And what takes him away, you ask? “He kind of gets an offer he can’t refuse,” Schur teases. “He’s back for good in episode 9 or 10, I’m not sure. And in the middle we’re going to grab him for one episode and maybe more. So hopefully it won’t just feel like he’s gone. We’re parsing out his appearances over the first nine or ten episodes.” And since Chris and Ann don’t leave until episode 13, you shouldn’t be dealing with too much change at once, Lisa. Also, breathe.
