Okay, I’ve read The Walking Dead comics. I know what happens when Negan arrives. Will the show go the same route? — Chris
I’ll let EP Gale Anne Hurd take this one: “We always change things up, one way or another, and I don’t think this is going to be any different,” she says. “But we are always inspired by the comic books, and I think fans of the comics will not be disappointed — but I don’t know that they’ll be able to figure it out entirely beforehand.” Suffice it to say, Jeffrey Dean Morgan will make quite an impression when he arrives. “Whatever you’re thinking, it is going to be not only bigger, but more wicked,” Hurd adds. “Jeffrey Dean Morgan is not only a fantastic actor, but he’s larger than life. And what can you say? He’s also got Lucille.”

Question: Does Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s casting on The Good Wife make him unavailable for a third season of Extant? He’s been a great addition to the show. —Josh
Ausiello: You’re assuming there will be a third season of Extant. (Have you seen those ratings?) If by some miracle the show does live beyond Season 2, the chances are good that Morgan will be involved. “They have approached and wouid like me to come back,” Morgan tells me. “And I would be hard-pressed to not go back and work with Halle [Berry] again.”

As previously reported, Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Grey’s, Supernatural) guest-stars in the April 6 finale as Fiona’s NA sponsor of sorts. He also happens to be her boss at the diner she must work, as a condition of her probation. “Her probation officer, played by Regina King, is an old friend of Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s [character],” Emmy Rossum explains, “and she’s funneled to him these people that are out of jail, to put them in NA.”
