Here's some scoop on The Night Shift from this week's (Posted on 6/16/17) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Any scoop on The Night Shift? What can we expect with Topher no longer a part of the show? —Amanda
Ausiello: Ken Leung may no longer be a part of the NBC series (returning Thursday, June 22), but Topher’s absence looms large as the action picks up a mere 48 hours after his unceremonious termination and the resulting staff walk-out. In fact, Jordan will go to such lengths to broker a deal with Paul’s pop that is contingent on Topher’s return, you’d almost think Leung’s exit was an elaborate PR stunt. (It’s not.) BONUS SCOOP: Warning, the Season 4 opener ends with a doozy of a cliffhanger.

Person of Interest: More scoop on the season 2 premiere from TVLine's Michael Ausiello

Here's some scoop on Person of Interest from this week's (Posted on 9/11/12) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Do you have any news about Person Of Interest? – Lara
Ausiello: The Season 2 premiere — which already guest-stars Ken Leung aka “Miles” — features an additional Lost-like overtone as it answers the question of exactly how Reese will retrieve the numbers in Finch’s absence. And speaking of Michael Emerson’s character, who has been abducted by a deliciously ruthless Amy Acker: In the course of following Finch’s scent, Reese recruits a new team member. The problem: He only takes orders in Dutch!

Person of Interest: Scoop on episode 2x01 "The Contingency" from Entertainment Weekly's Sandra Gonzalez

Here's some scoop on Person of Interest from Entertainment Weekly's Sandra Gonzalez's The Spoiler Room column, which was posted on 9/1/12.

Sandra! Thank you for that Person of Interest scoop last week. So glad you’re watching the show! Can you tell me about anything more about some of the new faces this year? – Katie
While details are still under wraps about Margo Martindale’s guest spot, I can tell you that Lost alum Ken Leung plays the person of interest in the first episode, and Michael Emerson says, “he could not be better.” “He’s perfectly cast as a character that’s a bad match for Mr. Reese (Jim Caviezel) and Mr. Reese is forced to spend a lot of time with under dire circumstances,” he says.

According to TVLine's Michael Ausiello, Ken Leung will be guest-starring in the season 2 premiere of Person of Interest. Also, Margo Martindale will be guest-starring in a season 2 episode as well. Here's an excerpt from the article:

This marks the third project Emerson and Leung have worked on together. In addition to Lost, they both co-starred in the original Saw film.

Leung will appear in P.O.I.‘s opener on Sept. 27, while Martindale will make her entrance in Episode 2. Details on the duo’s characters were not made available.

My thoughts: I personally loved Ken Leung on Lost, and I always enjoyed watching Michael Emerson and Ken Leung's scenes together, so I'm really excited to see Leung in the season 2 premiere of Person of Interest. However, when it comes to the news about Margo Martindale's guest appearance in the second episode of season 2, I couldn't be more upset about the fact that she's going to be on the show if I tried to be. I hated Margo Martindale on Justified, and I hated her in the episode of Suits that she guest-starred in several week's ago. I don't exactly what it is, but there's something about Margo Martindale that annoys the hell out of me whenever I see her on TV.

That being said, I think Person of Interest is a great show, and I'm so glad that it did well last season, and I hope that it continues to do well in its second. It definitely puts a very interesting twist on the crime solving TV show genre. Michael Emerson was initially what made me want to check Person of Interest out, because I loved him on Lost, but I actually ended up liking Jim Caviezel and his character, John Reese, the most.
